that's a pretty good idea! Thanks for the tip :)

I just keep renewing the listing until it sells. Everything that I've bought for the shop has sold, some pieces take a lot longer than others though.
-
I don't think I do. What I consider a step up from a thrift store is a legitimate vintage clothing store which I don't think is what you are asking about (and I wouldn't call places like Buffalo Exchange or Crossroads upscale).

My closet isn't cool looking or exciting at all. You don't want to see it.

One, my friend Beatrice (who I met through blogging). Although, she doesn't really blog anymore. http://www.dearbeatrice.blogspot.com I'd like to meet more bloggers from around here :)

Sara Moonves who is also an editor at T. All of Ruby's clothes were pretty much designer samples from Spring 2012. A lot of Christopher Kane, Dolce and Gabanna, Lanvin, Prada...really fancy stuff. When Sara unpacked the rack my eyes popped out of my head, too much pretty clothing!

Thanks! That dress is vintage, I don't even think there is a tag inside :( I might sell it though (it's a little big in the bust for me) so keep your eyes on the shop http://www.milkteeths.etsy.com

Not that I know of. I'd think if they were famous enough they'd probably make their assistant or someone buy what they want under the assistant's name. At least, I know that Michael Jackson used to pull stuff like that when he was alive. Rumor has it he had an Ebay addiction

The Salvation Army is probably the cheapest main stream chain thrift store that I go to. Prices vary but usually blouses are around $3-5 and dresses $5-8. Does your store have any half off days? Where I live Friday is 50% off all clothing inside the store.
-
I did! We went to Pasadena, had afternoon tea, and then spent the day at Descanso Gardens :)
-
Not that I can think of off the top of my head. I research the tag that is sewn inside the garment for the most accurate information about the piece.
-
I mainly just google the clothing tag to see what I can find. I try not to buy items without a tag for this reason.

When I'm traveling internationally I don't really go out of my way to check out thrift stores or vintage stores since Id' rather be spending my money on seeing the sights and eating really good food! But, if I'm traveling within the US, then I'll try to check out a store or two. I figure there's a higher probability of me coming back to some place in the US then abroad so hitting up a thrift store or two wont take a way from my tourist time too much :)

I will admit that Cook grew on me. He was definitely one of the only characters that had a rich back story so his development throughout the season was nice to see. But yeah OMG at Freddie being MURDERED?! It just came so out of left field and then the ending of "I'M COOOOKKK!!" and then nothing. GAH. NOT.GOOD.TV.

I did! I found mine on Craigslist for cheap ($70) but it's definitely in terrible condition, though. It's really old and made out of cardboard so I know I will have to bite the bullet someday and get a nicer one before it falls apart. So far, it's holding up well enough. I shellacked it to prevent the cardboard from getting too worn down so hopefully this one will last me at least a year!
-
I sold it for $125. I did a search on Etsy to see how much other people were selling them for and that was about middle of the road. It was the first time I had ever found a backpack like it (and probably the last :/)
-
Yeah I totally feel you. My thing is that at this point, it's just easier to have one name. From what people have told me, they usually remember the name of my blog (and not my store) so when they hear that I sell vintage on etsy they usually do a search for my blog name which leads them to nothing. Hopefully the name change is a gamble for the better...
