Awesome question! I wake up most mornings with a list of things I am thankful for. It's a very random list. Haha. Lately, my first thought out of bed is, "Thank You God!". Depending on how tired I am, that might be the extend of what I think first thing in the morning.
I'm thankful for a truly amazing family, awesome friends, the many things I normally take for granted (a/c broke for a few days recently and I MISSED it lol), etc...... Big and small, I'm working on noticing how incredibly blessed I am. -
Thank you so much!! I think that one of the reasons people like my images of kids is that kids feel comfortable with me. My sessions are relaxed and kids are having fun. If you show kids respect, they respond well to that. :)

The meaning of life is to glorify (praise, admire) God. One of the ways we do this is by loving others. God IS love, so by showing love, we are showing God. This is my first answer. :) Good question. :)

Yes, for sure. Send me an e-mail if you have a portrait or wedding out of state. :)

Thank you so much. I can't say that I do any one thing all the time to capture sunflare. Just move around to get different looks and see what you like. :)

I use Wordpress. It might not be as user friendly as Blogger, but I absolutely love the flexibility of it.

I bought a Canon 28-135mm. :) I barely use it anymore.

I usually bring a backpack of my camera gear. I like to keep things light and portable. :)

LOL. No, you are not the only one. :) It's totally normal. :) I do spend extra time on images to edit photos so that they look amazing AND natural. :) I think that pregnant mothers look beautiful, and think it's such a great time to remember. :) Sessions are relaxed and fun. Contact me and I would be more than happy to give you more information.

I have a camera back pack and 2 smaller bags although I usually bring only 1 of the smaller bags. It's getting hard to fit everything inside the bags, though. Haha. I was thinking of getting a rolling camera case. But I won't look for a new camera bag for too much anytime soon. It makes it harder not to buy something.

I love things fast paced. I chase little kids and move around a lot. I really like to keep things simple and portable. I will on occasion pull out pocket wizards and flashes, but at the moment, I really do love just natural light. :)

I really love to photograph people, so that's what I focus on. I'm also in love with photographing people and their pets. A super cute puppy or a gorgeous horse.....yes please!

I used to teach photography at a private school a few years ago. I love teaching and would love to teach photography again to beginners. Not sure how much demand there would be for that, but I would love it. :)

I've shot with a few different film and digital cameras. Canon and Nikon cameras are great. When I started learning manual camera settings, I used a Minolta and later a Nikon. I thought I would get a Nikon digital camera, but I ended up going with Canon.
Both brands have their strengths and weaknesses. I really started paying attention to Canon when I notices that most of my favorite wedding photographers used Canon. I loved the high ISO and other features Canon had. Rumor has it (lol) that Nikons are better with focusing and Canon excels at low light situations.
There have been some major improvements to cameras even this past year. They just keep getting better. I would actually love to play with a Nikon, but am still so happy to be a Canon girl. :) -

My dad is the first person who introduced me to photography. I also took one college class, but I have mostly been self taught. It takes a while to get the basics down, but it can feel amazing when you start to capture what you want the way you want. :)

Yes, I am still photographing the class of 2010. :) If you're a 2011 grad, start thinking about your photos, too. :)
