Art: The conscious use of skill and creative imagination especially in the production of aesthetic objects.
I believe by these definitions you could call the practice of editing photos an art form.
I would add, however, many photographers in the days of film photography would take a fine photograph, and THEN ON TOP OF IT, edit it. -
You know at first, I think I am in love with most of my work. It's only after a few weeks/months that I really decide if I like the shot or not. And to tell you the truth, there is quite a bit of my work that I feel "meh" about. Is that a good thing? lol
