whos in your opinion the best film music composer these days ?
There are collaborative efforts like the suddenly ubiquitous Reznor/Ross for David Fincher or the lesser publicized Basement Jaxx/Steve Price soundtrack for the outstanding "Attack the Block" film. I think the most innovative things are coming from rock musicians like Andrew Bird (Norman) and Johnny Greenwood (There will be Blood and others). That said, Hans Zimmer still continues to rule and of course there will never be another John Williams in this world no matter how so many try and miss.
