      Hmm... I'd say that learning to understand the nuances of working with your colleagues and superiors is pretty important. Each person has particular personality traits, expectations, styles of working, etc., so you can't use a one-size-fits-all model of interacting / working with them. Of course, it takes time to learn about the people around you, but once you do, you can adjust your own behavior accordingly to work with them.

      Hmmm... hopefully this isn't a cop-out, but I don't know if I'd be able to narrow down to just 3. That, and the fact that if I were on a deserted island, I wouldn't want the people I care about to be stuck on the same deserted island as me.

      Hey, I'm entitled to my own opinions. I happen to think that issues beyond hardware (pricing of data plans, robustness of app stores, open vs. closed ecosystems) are just as important, if not more so, than the the hardware itself. From what I understand, a significant number of new features for the new iPhone are correlated to increased data usage, which makes AT&T's data tiering a very relevant aspect of the attractiveness of buying the new iPhone.

      My first thought? Darn AT&T for making metered data plans the only option, making the new iPhone's bells and whistles not quite nice as they otherwise would be. Sending a friend HD video that you took with the new 5 MP camera? Reading PDFs? Streaming NetFlix on that new 326 dpi screen? All that uses up bandwidth, and a max plan of $25 for 2 GB, plus additional costs for overages, makes the new (and old) iPhones less attractive than they used to be.

      But in terms of a "want" rather than a "need"? Hmm... If you had asked me earlier this year, I would have said a new guitar, but right now, I think I'd take a trip to Taiwan. Everybody and their mom seems to be going back this summer, and I haven't been back since 2005!

      I think you've got me confused with someone else. When I say that I do modeling, I'm talking about financial modeling, not runway. Haha, sorry to disappoint!

      Dunno... Had one for a while and never thought much of it. A startup / VC guy tweeted about it earlier today (@cdixon) and after reading through questions and answers, I realized that to some extent, you learn just as much about the people asking questions as the person answering the question. Thought it might actually be an interesting exercise from that perspective!

      Not sure I'm qualified to answer, since I just have a Blackberry, but I think one important point that people have made is that the strength of the iPhone is not just because of elegant hardware of software, but because of the iTunes ecosystem behind it. To that end, the Android ecosystem will have be able to match.
