I live near Raleigh, but I do know quite a few lolitas in the Charlotte area!
-
Thank you! I'm so glad you like it <3
-
I use Photoshop CS5 :D The current banner wasn't any really fancy process or anything, mostly just cropping, arranging, and some messing with layer styles for the font.
-
Hm...it's cute, but I don't know how well it will work for lolita. It looks a little too modern and not quite the right silhouette.
-
Bodyline does ship internationally. Their shipping can be pretty pricey though, so watch out for that. That sounds lovely!
-
Me too, so many of the styles look so different from each other, it's nice to have some variety while still keeping the same general idea. Pretty much all of my shoes are from Bodyline, they're pretty affordable and very durable. I find a lot of accessories in normal stores, like Claire's.
-
I'm pretty much the same way, I love a wide range of styles rather than just sticking to one or another. It's good to invest in some basics, like white and black blouses and shoes, and a petticoat, that go with pretty much everything. Then you can expand your wardrobe from there!
-
For a lot of lolita, less is more! I'd just go with a few simple things. Concealer to cover up pimples and under eyes, a little bit of blush, some mascara, and some lip gloss can do a lot!
-
Well I'd suggest investing in some more casual pieces, like plain-colored skirts, cute cutsews, and bags that you could use with normal clothes. That will help you to ease into the fashion rather than taking on something more extreme right away.
-
Hi there! Aww thanks so much :D Well, there's a lot of ways to coordinate things! I try to balance things with color. Using the same color socks and blouse or coordinating in a pop of color are my favorite things to do. Definitely don't forget accessories too! The perfect bag or necklace can make a big difference in an outfit.

I typically order just the measurement of my foot, but I have heard that people add a half a centimeter or so for some wiggle room, just in case.
-
Thank you! I totally understand, when I first chopped my hair off it was about that long, and it was a little nerve wracking. I'd suggest trying out a shorter wig to see how you like having short hair. It'll give you a good idea how it would look on you and it's a lot less commitment than cutting it all off!
-
Currently I'm doing some cosplay commissions, but I'm hoping to go to graduate school soon for Library Science and become a librarian :D
-
Well I'd assume it was a replica, made by another company with a copy of Angelic Pretty's print. I've never heard of Sweet Angel before, though.
-
Oh man, I wish I could! If I had the money I totally would, I'd love to meet lolitas from other countries.
-
Hm...that's a little tricky! My best advice to hang out with girls in smaller groups if possible, so that you can get to know them and they can get to know you as a person rather than just what you're wearing. It can be a lot easier for people to judge you on looks when you're in a big group, with one or two other people it would be easier to actually talk. I hope that helps!
-
I did feel a little awkward the first time I wore lolita. It's the sort of thing that you have to get used to, especially the attention it gets in public! I'd try wearing something a little more casual or even just going out with some friends to put you more at ease :D
-
Hm..I think I definitely break the most "rules" in the summertime. I pretty frequently go without a blouse or without legwear, especially if I'm going to be outside. Sometimes "rules" should take a back seat to personal comfort and avoiding heat stroke :D
