My first best friend was a boy named MR. We used to live in one compound circa 1993 but when I started growing lumps on my chest and his voice started to sound scary, everything just became awkward plus our folks always tease us and so we stopped talking to each other. Lol

I'd choose the latter. You can tell if that "loved one" is really deserving of your overflowing affection if he/she supports you all the way whichever path you take. Otherwise, it's just puppy love.
