Sorry for not responding to this earlier! This is good question.
I haven't played Ghost Trick but I've played and beaten the first 3 Ace Attorney games. I loved the first one since I played it when it came out and I was a teen, but it took me a while to get to the other two. The second was a slog (i think we can all agree on that) and the third totally burned me out. I didn't find Godot as interesting as a lot of other people did, and straight up, I am SO SICK of spirit mediums. By the time I finished that game I found myself wishing Capcom hadn't put spirit mediums in any of the games at all.
It's actually my big problem with the series. It just really grates on me to have straight up magic, possession, etc. in those games. I think this is why my favorite game is the first one, because the spirit medium angle only exists to have Mia come back from the dead and help you out once in a while. (It's still kind of egregious that she has to keep helping you, but it's better than having the game hijacked completely by the Kurain stuff.) -
Mmm, it used to be Italian but now I think it's Indian. I really love kheer, tikka masala, rogan josh... =9=

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, no contest. But Egg Mania is also really fun.

I use Ren'py for ideas where they're focused on characters or visuals primarily, like my midnight therapy games where I can have a static background and dialogue laid on top of it. I could easily do that stuff in Twine too, but sometimes I just get a "feel" for the kind of look I want my game to have.
I use Twine for situations where the structure of the game is more complex. Twine is organized WAY better than Ren'py is; Ren'py is just a straight up script document where everything is in one text field, so it makes it hard to really organize each chunk of the game in a satisfactory way, and I prefer to use it for more linear stories, or in cases where the main meat of the game is a dialogue tree. I like to use Twine for stories where you're exploring buildings, because you can literally lay out each passage in the form of a map. You could definitely switch this up and use Twine for "Ren'Py stuff" and Ren'Py for "Twine stuff" but that's just how I tend to mentally categorize them. -
Japan! I have some friends there I want to meet. I'd also really like to go back to Italy, and I want to go to Provence (in France) one day too.

I have Wild World and I used to have City Folk, but I sold it. I don't have any opinions on the upcoming one because I don't have a 3DS! Yo ho ho!

I think I started playing Recettear back in the day, it's okay. I wouldn't mind getting into it again if it runs on a Mac. Noitu Love 2 I never tried, though.

Dynamite Headdy, for the Genesis/Megadrive!! I really like Silhouette Mirage too, but Dynamite Headdy I think is a more solidly made game. The middle sort of drags, but top to bottom it's pretty good! And I love the artwork and the music and the premise and everythinggg

Technical answer: I have no idea.
Alternate, I-think-about-La-Mulana-too-much answer: Xelpud, understandably, doesn't get many visitors in his part of the jungle, especially old friends like Shorn, and family of old friends, like Lemeza--Xelpud actually met him when he was a little babby but Lemeza doesn't remember that. So it would make sense for Xelpud to suddenly go from being a little stony and standoffish to quickly becoming very attached to Lemeza, sending him emails and bugging him to come visit.
Similarly, Mulbruk hasn't seen anyone ESPECIALLY SUCH A HANDSOME, DASHING MAN in thousands of years, and she still has the heart and the perversions of a 19 year old girl, so she has a big ol' crush on Mr. Explorer. I actually really like that, because 1) I have a thing for older guys too, and 2) her kinks are really specific: she likes having weights put on her like a pedestal, and she fantasizes about Lemeza coming on to her and making her say dirty things. Work it, girl. OWN THAT SHIT.
(big thanks to soonmide on twitter for screencapping all of mulbruk's mumbling about her fantasies) -

Two things, mostly:
1) I stopped going to Something Awful
2) I started hanging out with cool sex-positive people who worked their identity and kinks into their works unapologetically, especially Anna Anthropy, who is still one of my biggest inspirations and closest friends. She showed me that it's totally possible to produce sexy work without shame, and it doesn't have to be locked away for fear of bringing down your career or whatever else. I warn for my porn, both on my official site and on twitter/tumblr/etc, so if people don't want to look at it, they don't have to--but I'm really glad that I've reached the point where I'm happier talking about it now, because it brings me a lot of joy, and a lot of my friends have told me that it's helped them become more sex- and kink-positive as well.
Nowadays I've also become more interested in gay porn pinup artists, especially Harry Bush and Oliver Frey. I think they both have really amazing artwork and are super cool. -
