Hmm not really la. its the combined effort of all the shoppers that fund their lifestyle and as much as i do sometimes envy them, it's not because i feel like i'm funding them haha!

You're such a thoughtful shopper! :) i just personally believe that envy is envy; should let that motivate you to work hard so that you can provide for yourself. for me, i just want to provide my family with a comfortable lifestyle in the future; i don't have to/want to be super rich :)

Hi there! :) I'm not very experienced in the love department to be honest and my current bf is my first serious bf. We've been together for about 3.5 years and I certainly hope to settle down with him. I'm not sure though if he's The One or my Mr Right (I know it sounds contradicting, like why would you want to settle down with someone whom you're not sure is suitable for you for life?), but I feel that even though we have our differences and neither of us are perfect, it's up to us to work out our differences and to make each other the Mr Right/Ms Right of the other party :)

LB stuff hardly qualifies as branded, no? Clothes from online stores do cost less than retail after all so I feel that its much more value for money. It's indeed true that many of their designs are designer-inspired but i really don't see what is wrong liking those designs and getting them at a affordable price tag. Isn't it much better to get these affordable alternatives rather than resort to other means to buy real branded stuff when you can't afford it?

I think its every girl's right, and innate wish to be pretty. Buying pretty clothes is really quite natural but of course i feel that what's important is to always spend within your means. For me, i've cut down on my spending ever since i started school and have no more income. Whatever i spend comes from the money i earned when i worked during the holidays, so even though i seem to buy a lot i don't expect my parents to fund me.

I agree that there is a greater prevalence of materialism in the younger generation now, but i really don't think it makes a significant difference to wait until 21. 21 is really an arbitrary benchmark; i know 21 year olds who are super immature and i also know 15 year olds who are super mature. So what gives? My mum believes in letting go appropriately and by letting me handle my own money/savings, the responsibility she gifts me with makes me more cautious with my spending; even though i do shop a lot online i make sure i'm spending with reasonable grounds.

Being too extreme is never good; i just feel that there should be a balance between indulgence and learning to be responsible enough :) I hope this clears the misunderstanding about the younger generation! we're not all crazy, reckless and materialistic.

Waited for me everyday after school just to take a 5 minute train ride together :)
