Hey, I've no idea about the market rate for fresh graduate. so sorry. :( but definitely not so low like what the agencies will tell you - $2.2K to $2.3K. Probably at least a $2.5K but hard to determine now as the market now is really bad.

Just don't try too hard to blend into the clique if you should want to cos that will only make them reject the idea and think "why is this person trying so hard?". Over the course of work when you get to interact with these colleagues more, they'll begin to appreciate your good points and even your contribution to the dept.

There'll bound to have events that your colleagues will get to know you better. :)

hello babe! I don't think I was really nervous on first day of work cos my colleagues at my work really welcome me warmly. i guess it also depends on your working environment and culture?

there are a whole string of training scheduled for me so I went straight into training on the first day and training was held by different people in the dept who held different roles. haha! so I was lucky I guess that they didn't just throw me into the sea w/o teaching me how to swim. :)
