Debate # 171: If gay marriage is legal, should their also be a legislation protecting the rights of churches to refuse to perform gay marriage?
No. There used to be churches segregated based on race. (I'm sure there are still some that fly under the radar.) That was racist. Ix-nay-ing gay people from churches is homophobic.
Religions should accept people however they come. I mean, you can believe in something still if you interpret it slightly differently than someone else would.
And really, at this point in time I can't really see a gay couple going to a church to get married if they were going to be looked down upon while they were there anyway. I'd think they'd want to be somewhere where they feel more comfortable and welcome.
Really the idea of legislation "protecting the rights of churches to perform gay marriage" is kind of really supremacist. FCK H8 -
You spelled "jackass irresponsible and hypocritical company that ruined millions of lives and entire ecosystems" wrong.

Would it be awesome if animals could talk?
It would be even more awesome if we've learned to understand them instead.

Debate #149: Should the government increase minimum wage?
Oh dear heavens no! We wouldn't want our neighboring countries to think that we actually care about that part of the population that's most in need, now would we? Can you imagine? We would look like those sluggish socialists hahah! Let's not kid ourselves. No, if the needy actually want to be able to afford their rent and feed themselves they should be finding a second or third job right? It doesn't matter too much if they work 60 hours a week, as long they're still alive they can prove themselves useful to our nation!
Now now, let us resume on our champagne and discuss our terribly unbearable lightness of being. I love it when we're philosophical and contributing to society. Oh, do remind me to make plans for us this upcoming summer holidays. I'm very excited to show you my new yacht. It's not as big as the other one I've bought this year, but it is an absolute beauty. I'm sure you'll fall in love with it. -
What is the most selfish thing a person can do, in your opinion?
That's difficult to answer. Life is all about selfishness, from drinking when you know others are dying of thirst, to distracting yourself with frivolity when you know others are suffering immeasurably, to giving your offspring preferential treatment to the detriment of others for no reason other than they are carrying YOUR genes. Every breath we take is selfish and there are very few things we can do that aren't inherently selfish. All animals are selfish, nature is selfish, natural order in fact relies on direct and indirect selfishness. This in effect makes all of nature evil and all life evil, which is why I don't understand the modern western belief in a benevolent god. But that's another conversation.
What is the MOST selfish thing? It's pretty selfish to be sitting here blathering my brain away on formspring, so I'm going to go with that :) -
Our human eye is 576 mega pixel.

I think my eyes just bled a little and lost 5 pixels from all the grammatical mistakes.

How important do you think workplace humour is?
I think it's rather important to have humour in every aspect of life, including the workplace. Without it we risk becoming dry, machine-like and void of compassion towards our co-workers. Look at our politicians for example, wouldn't the world be a better place if all our passports were pink and our senators wore sombreros to work?
We need to take ourselves less seriously. -

Do you like Eastern-style (Japanese, Chinese, etc) dragons or European dragons (Wings, firebreathing) more?

What is your favorite thing about trees?
They make excellent models. They've got great fashion sense, you see, they're always *in* season. I don't know a single tree that doesn't know how to dress her foliage; and every tree I've met knows how to pose beautifully in front of a camera. No matter how much you curse at them or how hard the weather tries to pull them down they will always stand strong and proud. Those bitches will just never give up. They'll just keep growing taller and taller but when they reach the high point of their careers they'll never allow their hubris to grow too close to the sun.
When I grow up I want be just like a tree. -
Debate #142: Is live at first sight real?
Not necessarily, one can only safely conclude someone or something is alive around the third or fourth sight. That is why you must blink twice and rub your eyes upon meeting someone to make sure they are alive and not one of Death's hallucinations.

Debate #141: Can you cry under water?
Can you pee in a pool of pee?
Yeah, so why not? -
It takes 9 months to a year to produce one episode on Family Guy.
Yes, to come up with ideas, producers come together to participate in a massive fetish orgy after which of them will become pregnant. At the end of all of their term, they have the babies fight gruesomely in a colosseum Gladiator-style. The surviving baby subsequently transforms into the next Family Guy episode.

Debate #135: Some people say guns should be banned. Then what would you do if a dangerous animal comes charging at you or someone you love? Is there another method to lure the animal away?
Guns should be banned. Period.
There is no legitimate reason for one to own a gun. I grew up in a gunless country (only soldiers, not even the police, were allowed to use guns), and there has never been a call for firearm weaponry. I'm not saying Vietnam is crimeless, far from it. It does have its fair share of crime, but the majority of it consists of petty crime, such as pickpocketing, drunken driving, etc.
I firmly believe if guns were banned then there would be less incentive for people to commit serious crime. Guns give their holders too much power, power that can easily be abused.
In contrast, here in Australia guns are apparently "heavily regulated" since the Port Arthur massacre. Yet… there has been 21 shootings in Sydney just this month. TWENTY-ONE fucking shootings. That's almost one shooting a day on average so far.
Three of them took place just last night. One man was shot fatally in a feud, and two teenagers (one 14 and one 17) were shot by the police for allegedly stealing a car. They are both now in a coma.
If guns were banned altogether, I don't think any of this would have happened.
And it's not just Australia, it's worldwide.
If guns were outlawed, there would be no shooting of Trayvon Martin in the States .
If guns were outlawed, there would be no Anders Behring Breivik in Norway
etc. etc. etc.
Animal attacks are the worst excuse to own a gun. In the rare scenario of an animal attack, please do everybody a favor and do the sensible thing of calling Animal Control or Animal services. Even calling the Emergency number in your country will do. These people know what they're doing. You don't. You will only aggravate the animal even further, or worse yet, kill an innocent being. "Dangerous" animals such as bears are generally passive and wouldn't attack a human unless provoked or feel their territory threatened. -
so you said you were born and raised in asia? how come your english is so flawless and just far beyond american standard let alone asian?
Back in my day - during the Japanese occupation that is - it was the norm for higher middle and upper class families to send their boys to these quasi-Nazi grammar schools. There we were forced to learn a minimum of three languages, though most kids took about five. The amount of languages you learned equated to your social status in these God-forsaken schools. Were your lips to utter even the pettiest of mistakes, you would be fed by the baton and thorny whips instead of food, and your portrait will be hanged for months in the hall of shame.
My roommate, though he wrote beautifully on paper, had a lisp that could be easily mistaken for a deliberate mispronunciation. The authorities saw him as a rebel, and they wouldn't have that in their school. Oh the horrors he had to endure! By the time we graduated, I could barely recognize his visage. Nobody left these schools with a flawless figure, no, but we all left with a flawless mastery in language.
See, you American kids have it much easier; and that is why your standards are so low. -
What? Your purpose is to be utterly useless? Are you being sarcastic again or do you really not believe in having a purpose in life?
Why do I NEED a purpose? Why can't I live my life the way I want to live my life?
Zhuangzi talks about an old cripple who's watching all these soldiers walk off to battle. They start jeering and joking at the cripple, mocking him for his lack of ability to do anything constructive to society. He starts to do the same thing, because he knows that because of his illness he gets to stay safe from the battle while the soldiers go off to their potential deaths.
Other people would say that being useless to society is inherently bad.
I say it's simply being useful to one's own purposes. We should live our lives for what we really want, not for any "duty", "purpose" or any other abstract concept that is utterly meaningless. -
I know I already ask this question before but do you mind tell me about your first kiss
it was with is girl in grade 1, we were sitting on the floor of a meadow and suddenly she looks at with this strange light in her her. she opens her mouth and says. "lei, i want you to beat my pussy down like rihanna." and i said to her. "amigo, i am a fucking tree, you have smoked way to much mayo and is now tripping balls" then she turned into a chinese dragon and fly into the sky not before screaming "I will be avenged!" i understood her strange dragon tongue because I was also a dragon, not a tree. so I fly after her attempting to mate with her to create offsprings that will eventually be known as sarah jessica park because her grandmother was a horse.
