Not at all. The reason the likes of London College of Fashion have so many success stories is because of their high fees (and donations from rejected students parents, then a place is suddenly available ;] ). This means they can afford to get more ppl involved with the uni which leads to placements etc.
I went to Newcastle and I'm doing fine :)
Just be prepared to pay a lot when you finally make the move to a major city in search of work.

Degree in photography. A-levels in Politics, Economics, Physical Education and History. Various Sports Coaching qualifications.

You should really play with lighting and try and work these things out yourself :P
But heres a few hints:
- Continuous lighting with pink gel
- Flash lighting for initial picture
- Long shutter speed
- Moving model
