I will not attempt to excuse myself; this will be my last entry.

Formspring was a fantastic service. I've met others similarly displaced in time. I've gone around with geniuses and gods, mingled with monsters. On Formspring, as I'm sure most of you have realised by now, I'd gained a daughter, and I'd met the man who'd quickly become my closest friend. I've found a new family, and a new reason for living.

I - unusually- forced myself to socialise. I've met many friends on both sides of the wall, and had some unforgettable adventures. And I am grateful for all of that: all of those times, good and bad.

Thank you, all of you, who've had the patience to follow me in spite of, or perhaps because of, my bizarre situation. I can imagine people don't encounter nervous and morbid eccentrics suddenly and indiscriminately thrown forward over a century through time often.

Happily, though, I'd like to hope that the end of this place isn't the end of our time together. Currently I, like many in my position, have moved to Formspring's competitor:

I know it isn't a replacement, and it will take some adjusting, but as many of you know - I've always been a bit stubborn about endings, after all.

Whether you follow or not, I would just like to take this opportunity to say: Thank you. Thank you, for everything.

      Ever your friend,

      Lucas Gray

You're not getting whipped or caned, I know that much. Punishments that people my age...well, my /age/...are used to are probably too severe for a delicate child. Or any child, really.

...a naughty chair in the most boring room in the house? Withdrawing privileges? ...I'll think about it.

Can I trust you not to do bad things in the meantime?

    3. Lucas Gray

...hold on, I'd need much more alcohol before I even attempt this.

I'd like to learn how to make them, sometime. *tries them, then mock-appraising* Not quite. A...hair shy of perfect.

*He accidentally stifles a laugh at the next part by briefly choking on his egg*

      - 'dorable! Think - ohgod, sorry - think it wasn't all bad. Had your fun, though. (And I don't know if growing up and becoming human will deter her from doing that again! Sorry, I'm sorry about that!)

Thank you. Heh. It's one more thing than I can cook! Not for lack of trying, mind, but I've yet to produce something that the rest of the world would even consider edible...

*He takes the breakfast, then smiles - restraining a grin - at Rikky*

'Perfect's' a strong word, and I'm holding you to it!

*That earns a not-unkind snort from him*

Oh, don't worry about it. I've slept in worse. And you couldn't help it, you were already asleep, and you looked so comfortable!

      *He gestures to the breakfast*

Mine would just be...black, at this point...

*The smell itself wakes him; momentarily disoriented - he quickly glances at the bed. Oh, right. After taking a minute to get dressed- he'd never go down to breakfast in his pyjamas, after all - he heads down to see what's happening. And Rikky would be greeted by a slightly-smiling, bleary-eyed, messy-haired Luke leaning in the doorway*

      'morning, Rikky!

*He notices as he's going up to bed, himself*

*He sighs, then carefully, very carefully, he scoops up the tiny goat and cradles it with one arm, while he places an extra, folded blanket in the place where it had been. He gently replaces the goat, pets it several times, pulls the blankets over it, and takes another of his pillows for himself. He'd put it on his desk, fold his arms over it, and rest his head...*

Lizzie kissed me while we were playing outside, one day. We were both children, so I wasn't really...mature enough to know what to do. It just sort of happened, but she thought it was hilarious.

FANCY! Of course it was you!

I do! We've played tag and base and all sorts of things, and it felt really nice to pretend not to worry about things (except if we'll change back again).

..someone has to take care of your body in the end, though, and I'd rather be older for that. And I do miss many things about being an adult.

Flying? Pardon? I've never been flying. Those bloody great machines that really ought not to be in the air, things are prone to fuel starvation, liable to burst into flame, or where a single bird into the engine can bring the whole thing down no thank you I'm not flying good day.

THAT'S NOT FAIR I JUST TAGGED YOU, GET BACK HERE!!

*Only somewhat shorter, in a miniature, stage version of adult formal-wear. A small vest, small tailcoat, small necktie; his hair is parted and somewhat gelled in a vain attempt to contain the mess*

*The first thing he does once he notices exactly what's wrong is scramble to the nearest window to look outside - perhaps this whole thing had been a long, strange dream after all? They hadn't boarded the train yet, his parents were home, Lizzie would be waiting impatiently at the door for him...*

*But it's /his/ house, and outside, it's still 2013 - and for the first time in a while, he doesn't know how to feel about it*

      ...Mikey, Fancy, Marko?
