Heh, delayed response. Seems I forgot about this account. BUT, if I couldn't live in the U.S., then... hmm... Australia, maybe.

I don't have a favorite, honestly.

MWP encourages thinking for yourself. We aren't expecting every member to agree with every single item on a platform. We don't lean fully right or left, yet we're not directly middle-of-the-road, either. We value both ways of thinking. We're not afraid to employ a "conservative" or "liberal" solution to a problem, as long as that solution will as best as possible get the job done efficiently. We think along the lines of practicality, not a near-inflexible adherence to a political ideology.
As a party that believes in non-partisanship, dialogue, education, and exchange, we are called to consider all sides of an issue, to consider many perspectives. In other parties, it's the ideology, the platform, that's used to determine how to solve the problem. In the MWP, we consider how to solve the problem ahead of ideology and platform. We realize that we are individuals who will not always think alike, but those of us going into the MWP understand the dangers of limiting ourselves to one political ideology. We realize the importance of constantly educating ourselves and growing as a result of that education, and the importance of helping other members to discover their stances on issues and topic by providing them with information that we've helped to pull together. It is within this environment that we come together despite our differences in working toward solving problems in a common-sense manner.
We have a philosophy, a set of principles, that helps define the MWP: respecting the principles of fiscal responsibility and accountability, developping domestic energy sources so that we may reduce our dependence upon foreign sources, allowing each state to determine how best to govern itself according to its own values and needs, considering every citizen as equal to another when the government is forced into the position of legislating morality, placing emphasis on the sciences to advance innovation so that we may better compete within the world's economy, and advocating for improving the well-being of military families and of veterans.
These are among the things that have attracted me to the MWP. -

Well, as a kid growing up on Dungeons and Dragons, I dug gnolls. I can't explain why, really. They were just one of the few D&D fantasy species that interested me. Also, back when I was questioning my sexual orientation & gender, thinking that I might have been a transgender person, I had an online acquaintance who was transgender dug spotted hyenas due to the myths and perceptions about their sexual ambiguity. Like my acquaintance, I came to associate myself with hyenas due to that. I also learned about those hyenas, finding them to be a fascinating species and developing a further interest in (and respect for) them.
That, and spotted hyenas just look really darned awesome, at least to me. :) -
A sexual interest or desire of any degree has never hit me, for as far back as I can remember. I was good at pretending that I had, back when I was in the asexual closet, but that's as far as it went.
I am possessed of desires for intimacy and romance and the like, but for me they are completely distinct from any sexual aspect/desire/interest/function. The sexual component is unnecessary and irrelevant. I can engage in sexual acts, but I have never felt any interest or desire or urge to do so.
Now, I have experienced, from what I've gathered, that euphoric rush akin to what sexuals experience during orgasm or climax, but that rush neither is dependent upon sexual stimuli nor elicits a sexual response from me. As an example, it can happen during a really good embrace with someone significant. (Just hugging someone I know isn't enough to cut it.) That rush somewhat numbs and tingles my extremities and feels just absolutely blissful, and on a few optimal occasions that it affects my entire body. It's akin to that pins and needles sensation, but it's enjoyable instead of painful. It lasts usually up to two minutes, but the longest that I've experienced it was beyond five minutes.
So while I can't say that I've experienced a sexual interest/desire, I can say that I do seek material/stimuli which elicits that euphoric rush, and that is as close to a sexual interest/desire as I'll have as an asexual. -
Not currently, but it`ll be back. I go through phases where I shave it off and let it grow back every couple of months or so.

Wow, many ?s in one! O_O Fave part of Furry Fandom: the good, nifty friends & acquaintances I've made. Least fave part: dramatics. Live without: sexualized aspects & dramatics & worrying about what furry is supposed to be/mean so we can focus on appreciating things just for what they are. Trade: nothing comes to mind, honestly.

I can't relate to your statement, so I can't respond properly. :P

Not sure, honestly. I'm looking forward to the growth of the Modern Whig Party here in the U.S, and to becoming more involved with social activism/justice. I'm dreading the prospect of politics as usual for the next 10 yrs.

Either is just fine by me, as long as either's not too cold. :)
