      what are the skills/talents/qualifications you use the most in your work?

      Computer skills are a must. I use photoshop daily and also dreamweaver and Autocad weekly. Having an eye for color and balance is also a must in what I do. I have a bachelors degree in Interior Design and I think being college educated has definitely helped. Learning and experiencing has also helped tremendously.

      How do you stay motivated?

      I am constantly giving myself new goals and I think I naturally have a driven personality that I think has something to do with being a fire sign. :) I thrive for the feeling of accomplishment and enjoy what I do. There are of course times when I feel unmotivated and I take it as a sign to take a break.

      What is your favortie place to shop?

      Locally my favorite shops are Mahina and Forever 21 for cute staple pieces but since Maui doesnt have the greatest places to shop I do more online shopping. I love etsy of course and Ruche is beautiful! If I had more money Anthropologie for sure.

      What music inspires you the most?

      It definitely depends on the mood that I am in. Right now its raining and I am just taking it easy and I am listening to some flamenco from Andres Segovia. Last night I had a lot of work to get done an so I put on some girly upbeat bands like Uh Uh Her and Everything but the girl. If I need to clean I love listening to some girly techno.

      We are taking a once in a lifetime holiday to Hawaii, Oahu and Maui in April. Any recommendations for things to do, places to go on Maui?

      How fun! Maui is great and you will find many things to do here. We have beautiful hikes and great restaurants and beautiful beaches! Kaananpali would be a great place to stay for a few days because the beach is big and great for snorkeling and swimming. I would go upcountry for a day and check out Paia and have lunch at the Flatbread restaurant. If you have time camping in Hana is a must where there is hikes with huge waterfalls. Pick up the Maui Revealed book for all the best places. Hope this helps and have a wonderful time!

      If you had to wear one outfit the rest of your life, what would it be? Footwear included.

      I think it would be a timeless black long soft dress with gray flip flops. Hard question!

      What was the first thing you ever designed? Do you still have it?

      Oh wow! Good question. I would have to say a purse. I made a pattern using some existing purses and I then made a ton of them. Liner and all! I was about 15 yrs old. Before that I was really into collages and had binders full of them.

      Are you a morning or night person?

      Definitely night. I get my best work done at night. During the day it gets too hot and I feel lazy.
