      Hello Nina! How do you deal with friends who wants a job, but wants a deep discount ? I would be okay doing it with 1-2 people to get more exposure..but I am afraid of word of mouth, and that people will be asking me in the future for the same thing.

      Hi! No matter how long you've been shooting, some family and friends will always ask for some sort of discount. If you need to build your portfolio and experience, then there's no avoiding doing a couple of shoots pro bono. I've found a way to avoid this and still make sure they're happy...       Do you have a second shooter ? If so, how do you divide the work and pay ?

      Yes, I do. My 2nd shoots weddings with me (sometimes engagement sessions) and gives me all the photos and I cull and edit them myself. As for pay, it's a set price per wedding that we've mutually agreed on.

      I am going to tell you a secret. You were my inspiration when I first started into photography business. Out of all (Jose,Jazmine,etc...) your photography inspired me the most. Thank you. You will definitely be my wedding photographer, when that day comes

      How long have you been the photography business ?

      I launched Love & Lemonade Photography in Aug. 2009 and 2011 was my first full year as a full time professional photographer.

      Which lens do you use the most in your sessions ?

      For non-wedding shoots, the 50mm. For weddings, I use the 35mm and/or 50mm, and the 24-70mm or 70-200mm.

      Hi Nina, When you were starting out did you ever get discouraged, feel like you weren't good enough and doubt your abilities? If so, what did you do to get over it! Thanks!

      Hi! YES, of course...and I still do, all the time. But when I start having these thoughts, I force myself to stop looking and comparing my work to others and to remember to just be myself. Stepping away from the computer and the blogs help a lot. I believe as long as you're happy and you absolutely love what you do, it really shows in the work you produce and makes it that much better. And always remember to have fun...that's something I tell myself all the time. :)

      When is the new Nikon D4 coming out?

      Wish I knew. Rumors initially said this Fall but now they're saying Spring 2012. Hopefully some time next year but it seems the D800 might debut first. Check out nikonrumors.com.
