Well, I'd feel like shit. But I will probably move on and let them be. I make it a point not to dwell on negativity and I know, like everything else, these kinds of things will soon be insignificant. :)

it's probably just my upbringing, but never in my life have i suffered discrimination as a woman.

if at some point some people discriminated against me, the whole thing just flew over my head.

i can't say the same for other women though.

It's not gay, it's metrosexual (if you're straight).

There's nothing wrong about wanting to improve your appearance. Screw common convention as long as you feel good about yourself and do not hurt anyone in the process! But if you feel uncomfortable with what you're wearing - be it clothes or makeup - don't force it. The discomfort only means that it's not "you" or right for you.

Anyway, regarding makeup. If you want to cover spots and uneven patches, a light liquid foundation in a shade one or two tones darker than your skin tone is recommended. It looks the most natural and is easy to apply. Use sparingly, as in 1-2 drops for the whole face.

If you want to look like you're wearing zero makeup but with better skin, use tinted moisturizer. It's technically not makeup actually. I suggest Nivea if you're on a budget (they have dark shades, available in department stores, drug stores and supermarkets, around P300) but if you want the really good stuff, try Shiseido Tinted Moisture (~P1600, Rustans Essences and some department stores) or Laura Mercier (P2k+, Rustans Essences) since these have darker shades. Note: tinted moisturizers from most brands are usually very light and not suitable for the natural look you're going for.

You know what though, instead of focusing on makeup, you should invest on skin care. There are tons of stuff out there that really works in making your skin smoother up to the point of being flawless. You should depend on makeup only as a skin enhancer and not as a means to have good skin.

Hope this helped! I obviously enjoyed answering this one. :P

Hi! Aww, thanks for liking my makeup. To be honest, I don't really have ivory skin. At best, I have light-medium skin. The cameras just make me look whiter than I actually am! :P

Trivia: I was super dark when I was younger. Like really really dark. Then when I went to college I became lighter even though I wasn't using anything. It's probably because I made it a point to stay out of the sun since I tan easily. I'm also always indoors.

Other people would suggest glutathione, but I tried it some months back and it just made me feel bloated. So, I stopped after two pills.

If you want your face to lighten or at least lessen the darkening of blemishes, you should use a day cream that has SPF30 and up. Your face will be protected from the pigmentation triggered by sun exposure.

Of course, if it's in your genes to be morena, there wouldn't be much that you can do. I think morena skin is pretty - you should embrace it! Your might not look exactly like the anime characters you want to bring to life, but the art of cosplay is way beyond that. It's about expressing yourself and being confident about your assets (which I am sure is many!).

      Hope this helps!

good question! yes, orange-y lipsticks tend highlight yellow teeth - if the predominant color is orange. but if the red is stronger then you shouldn't have any problems. :D the best way to find out is go to a makeup counter and have them try out an orange-red lipstick on you. i remember ever bilena has a lipstick in that shade.

Hello! I actually wrote a post about it, haha.

Quick advice: buy a really good foundation and invest in a long-lasting blush and eyeliner. you can be cheap when it comes to mascara and lipstick/gloss since more often than not cheaper mascara and lip stuff are the same quality as high-end ones.

      THIS IS THE BEST QUESTION.

I was a huge fan of Britney before, when she first came out. I was in Third Grade then. Nostalgia.

Anyway, "Sometimes" has got to be my favorite song while "I'm Not A Girl" is my life's song. lol.

hello! incidentally i was just thinking of this dilemma this morning. this is what i think: it doesn't matter if you use black or brown, making your eyes look rounder depends on how you apply the eyeliner!

to make chinita eyes look bigger, the eyeliner should be thicker around the middle of the eye and thins as it reaches the end. don't wing the eyeliner as it will make your eye chinkier. use white eyeliner on the water line to make the eye look bigger.

of course, mascara is a great way to make eyes look rounder and bigger. dont forget to curl your lashes!

:D i enjoyed answering this question heh.

Tough question. It depends on the situation really! So I don't have an answer.

I should do more eye makeup in general lols. Quick tips: for chinitas, i recommend just using one shimmery bright color to bring attention to your eyes; double-lidded people can't always carry this look because it messes up the contour of their eye.

if you want to use more colors, i suggest that you use the darkest color from the lid, then create a gradient that's lightest at the top.

      to illustrate:

you can create the illusion of a fold by using a darker color on your lid.

I used to, but now I never get around to buying them. Why? Because I use tissues to blot! Our office is abundant with tissues. Hand towels in particular are very good in absorbing oil. You should try it!

Almost all brands - cheap or high end - carry a good red lipstick. But when you ask me, the first lippie that comes to mind is MAC's Russian Red. it's a fiery blue-based red that's a cult favorite in the makeup world. it's the red that ends all reds! i'd like to get my own one day.

in the meantime i'm using the reds from the Dollface 32-color lip palette. they're pretty awesome!

Hello! A Blemish balm cream is supposed to improve your skin by removing blemishes while adding a bit of coverage. Basically, it's a glorified tinted moisturizer.

I have never tried one, but I know that The Face Shop, Elianto, Skinfood, and Maybelline carry their own blemish balm. If you're looking for Korean brands, they are available in several online shops. I'm afraid I don't know any specific ones but a quick search should yield results. ^_^
