Have you read Boneshaker by Cherie Priest? The characters and the setting (inside/underneath an alternate Seattle) really remind me of Freewheel. I think you'd like it.
I haven't heard of that, but I may check it out now! I know there is actually an underground part of Seattle in real life that used to be part of the city, it's pretty interesting and I was hoping to use it in Freewheel one day somehow, though I have no specific plans as of yet.
