Eww- the "r" word. Secular humanism doesn't cut it for me, and I do find value in the spiritual aspects of various theological paths. The analytical skeptic within me demands that atheism not be disrespected either. Years of 12 step recovery have repeatedly underscored the necessity of taking what's needed and leaving the rest. On the surface, Unitarian Universalism encompasses the majority of these components. Strong emphasis: on the surface. UUA as a whole, needs to get its metaphorical head out of its ass.

I dislike plot lines that take an absurdly long time to achieve resolution, or which become so convoluted that suspension of disbelief becomes an insult to one's sensibilities.
