I'd say, start with something you have in common. ask him about a class that you're in together. tell him you like his new sneakers. ask him what he did over the weekend. anything that's simple & easy. and remember, he's so lucky to be talking to you!!

I used to get so nervous around guys (I still do sometimes, especially when it's a guy I really like), and what always helps me is to imagine that he totally likes me, too, and that he's nervous, too. in the end, even the coolest guy is really a big dork. and he'd be so lucky to have you talk to him!

hey sunflower! it sounds like a tough situation, but if it were me, I'd be really straight-foward, and say that you miss him and that you wish you could go back to the way things were before. think of how you became friends with him in the first place. every friendship starts with someone saying hi, or reaching out in some way. I'd say, try to mend the friendship first, and then see where you are in terms of your feelings for him. it sounds like he's a guy who really cares about you, and you should hold onto that, always. hope this helps! let me know if there's more you want to talk about and keep me updated on how it goes!!
