Don't be nervous! I hope you consider your health when you start to diet. How I started was eat the fewest amount of calories you can eat a day, which is 1200. Try that and see the results you get! Good luck, dear.

I'm a bit of a perfectionist. I'm also extremely interested in fashion and want to dress the best I can. Unfortunately(/fortunately?) the industry caters to legs that look like curtain-poles! That's what I want. I also plan on studying in Japan soon and I don't want to be a fat American, I want to fit in and be a "kawaii gaijin" haha.

No. Purging fucks you up. If you binge, this is what you do: Drink a glass of water and go to bed, promising yourself you'll do better tomorrow. Usually I like to fast the next day and end with a salt water flush - That way I feel "cleaned out" and ready to start again on the right foot. If you feel you're going to binge again, take all the unsafe foods out of your house and toss them! Put them under running water first, to make sure you don't dig them out of the trash.

Hi! When I say "fast," I mean not eating any food for a period of time. A lot of people will drink juice or coffee or even soda when fasting, but I prefer just water.

Well, I think it's pretty pointless to drink juice (or any beverage with calories in it) during a fast, if the point is to lose weight. If you're going to consume calories, why not eat instead of drink? So the way I do it, I just drink water. If you're just starting out though, I suggest you drink juice, just so you can ease your body into it and get used to an empty stomach without being too weak. At the end of the fast I like to "flush" using a salt-water flush. Look it up for more details because it's gross! Please be careful with yourself. If your body is telling you not to do something, don't do it. I didn't start doing this all of a sudden, I eased into it.

Wow... Thank you so much, dear! <3 Haha why do you think I'm beautiful! Well, first thing's first, I don't exercise. None. Not even strength training! The way I see it, the effort you put into exercise doesn't even compare to the results you get (calories burned). You run for an hour and you burn 600 calories? Sweet, I can run like 20 minutes tops, haha. It's so much easier to just eat 600 calories less than to run for an hour, risking overworking your heart or passing out. It's too dangerous to me. I see girls on here who can burn 1500 calories in a day no problem, so more power to them. It's just not for me. As for calorie intake, I restrict heavily on weekdays and I let myself eat normally on weekends. I hate missing out on social events, so that's why I do it that way. Because of that, I usually fast at least two days out of the week and restrict my calorie intake at 500 for the rest. Sometimes lower, sometimes even higher. It depends on how I'm feeling about myself and how much I want to lose. For example, I'll go all out the week before I see my boyfriend and attempt to fast the entire week. Haha, and ironically enough, the week after I see my boyfriend I'm comfortable enough to eat normally. The way I'm treating myself I probably shouldn't be losing weight at all, but I am. Also, I don't weigh myself every day, I think that could drive a girl nuts. Instead, I try on a pair of jeans that I want to fit into at the end of each week. It's a little easier each time! I don't really recommend this for anyone, but you should find a way that you can achieve your goals but still remain happy. I have! Happiness really is the most important thing. Haha, thank you for trying to help me <3 I don't think I'm anorexic. I don't really think I have a problem. I could stop if I wanted. For me, it's not about the numbers, it's about how I look, especially pertaining to fashion. I've accepted that this is a little shallow, but it's how I want to live. I'm happier than I've ever been.
