How do I live with myself? Huh?
Squids are rad? Earth Worm Jim is cool?? -
I'm an organ donor. I dunno, once I'm done with my body, I'm done with it. Don't give a shit what happens to it, hahaha. Might as well help someone out.

I'm sorry! My excuse isn't as good as my house getting burned down, I'm afraid, so you've got me on that!
Long story short, I work two jobs right now, one of which I live off tips, the other is paying comic work for Slipshine, for which I complete 12-15 pages a month. And my update for September changed and I lost half a month of work time, which was fine but it did mean prioritizing -- I make about $200 a year off Love Me Nice so it tends to drop in priority under the comic job that pays the rent every month. This doesn't count other comic projects I'm obligated to work on and commissions I take to pad the bills.
I also would like to get to a point where I work faster without sacrificing detail, but I haven't gotten to that level of skill yet. If I were a more capable artist I could keep up and make the most of my limited free-time, I guess.
I don't suppose those are very satisfying excuses, and I apologize for that. Sorry. It's certainly my goal to update more frequently soon. -
It's on my Tumblr:

Carolina does not. It doesn't even cross her mind. Give her a few years and she probably will, but she's too engrossed in her own life, business life and the current state of her family to really focus on a subject that isn't pertinent. -
Aww, thank you. Everything is going pretty okay! Takin' care of business and what not.

Aww, I'm sorry! And yes, I have been busy. I've had "real life drama" for awhile that I don't feel comfortable talking about online or with most friends that's been very distracting. I sort of accepted that in not divulging that, I'm gonna look like a slacker in exchange. But some things are not appropriate to put in Love Me Nice news post, you know?
Also I've been getting a lot of paying work done, too, and getting prints made to sell, etc. This week I hope to catch up and draw 2-3 weeks worth of updates, so by the end of this week LMN will be updating regularly again. -
I never think in terms of measurements, I don't even know my own or how I'd measure someone in the first place. I kinda think that sort of thing is unimportant.
-
Er, that depends. Right now in the story the ages of the main cast are:
Mac Jr.: 22
Claire: 27
Carolina: 19
Kelly: 25
Roger: 68
Mac Sr: 75
Fran: 22
Jackson: 19 -
Claire, Mac and Kelly are the ones I like to doodle the most.

I need to finally put that FAQ together, but Praline isn't anything in particular. Toon appearances by default are humanoid with influences from the natural world, and Pralines is just a Toon that physically resembles a lot of things. A lot of Toons resemble animals, but they are not actually those animals. Toons are humans, in this world, technically.
However Praline is *supposed* to look like a Muppet, or Fraggle specifically, because those were characters I really liked growing up. But that's just a sort of visual theme, it's not meant to in the story's world represent anything. -
Nope! My mother, step-father and brothers know and don't much care. My mother even flipped through one of my Slipshine minis I took to MoCCA, because she felt entitled to see it for helping me with various domestic things. She thought it was gross but otherwise it hasn't altered our relationship at all. Except that she can now make crude jokes at my expense.
I wait tables/bartend at the same establishment for almost 5 years, and I've been pretty open about doing porn on the side. Some people think it's funny, a few people seemed kind of in awe, strangely enough. If anyone's offended, they've been too polite to bring it up. I think even my managers have caught on, but it's never been brought up.
All-in-all, it's hasn't really besmirched my personal life or work life. Maybe that'll change if I move onto another job, who knows. -
It is a factor, yes. That and Kelly's got some baggage from a high-profile relationship that all-but imploded.
-
Claire's parents? Pretty unremarkable. Probably at a party. They got married a little too shortly after meeting and have been traveling ever since on a perpetual honey-moon.
-
For the most part, though her dad is of Korean descent.
-
They have been gradually transitioning from buddies to a couple for awhile, and because of numerous factors their relationship has been progressing at a glacial pace. They barely even hold hands.

Generally for a Toon's nationality is more important than apparent physical discrepancies due to the diversity of Toon appearances in any given region. Though that doesn't mean there aren't Toons for whom that outward appearance is important and communities are formed around those preferences/prejudices. It just depends.
Claire's mother is a human and mostly Samoan. -

Well, the comic is titled after lyrics from "Witch Doctor" by Ross Bagdasarian (as Dave Seville):
"I told the witch doctor you didn't love me true
I told the witch doctor you didn't love me nice"
So, I would have to pick that song, or a variation on it. It'd only be fitting.
