Funny story. She's the ex of the guy I was seeing for a few weeks there. He introduced us. It's all a little ~awkward right now.

Thank you. :) I bet you're pretty cute yourself.

Hehehe, A+ question. I'm a big fan of the metric system even though I'm not entirely comfortable with it.

Well, since I just got a brand new sweatshirt that actually FITS me and I'm kind of in love with it right now, I'll say it's my SFSU sweatshirt. But overall... Probably my TARDIS vs Delorean t-shirt that I bought from Shirt.Woot last year. It's geeky and awesome and I love wearing it even though no one gets it.

Because they're weird. I don't know really. I just do. Why are you so concerned with my thoughts on feet?

    8. Nicole

Um, no, I haven't and I have no desire to experience this. I really do not like feet. They creep me out. My own included. P.S. Congratulations on being the one to ask the creepiest question yet on Formspring.

Fiction: Atonement. Parents might freak over the use of "cunt" in the book, but whatever. That book is a beautiful example of a strong story, great construction, and fantastic writing.

Non-fiction: I would totally make my students read Sarah Vowell. Just for fun. I wouldn't make them do anything but read it and talk about it. Her writing is so engaging and fun and I think that kids should be given books that are fun to read. Quality books, though. I'm not advocating that they be given shit like Twilight to read because it's "fun."

(Before I answer this, I just want to say that this is a great question.) When I was younger, I would definitely have said Hermione, but I was never as bossy or as disciplined as her. There's a whole list of characters I would like to be like (e.g. Veronica Mars), but I have a hard time finding one character that is me, you know? I have the eternal hopefulness and a lot of the romanticism of Ted from How I Met Your Mother, the social awkwardness of Liz Lemon, the precociousness and a bit of the naivete of Jenny from An Education, the dry sense of humor of Ryan Atwood from The OC, the insecurity of Ron Weasley, sometimes the confidence and stubbornness of Lyra from the His Dark Materials trilogy... Put all that together and you have me. Sort of. :P Most strongly, though, I relate to girls trying to find their place in the adult world. Girls like Jenny from An Education and Juno... I know that feeling and that experience all too well right now.

Oregon, maybe. I lived there when I was a kid. I remember liking it. But that's the only place other than California or the Northeast where I would want to live. I'm not too keen on the West/middle/South of the US.

In short, no. Not at all. I thought I would be going to university in Ireland or Wales. I imagined I'd be in a relationship. I imagined I'd have my life figured out at this point. Or at least more figured out than I do now. But I've also learned over the past two years that just because your life doesn't turn out as planned (and it hasn't in so many ways), doesn't mean you won't end up exactly where you're supposed to be.

Start lightly. I think it's more fun that way. It's hot and you get to learn more about the way the other person kisses and what they like. Of course, sometimes the tension is just too much and you just have to dive right in.

Oh, gosh, there are so many things I'd like to do before I die! Travel the world, join the mile high club (seriously, lol), live on my own, get married, have kids, go skydiving, shoot a gun, go skinny dipping... There's more, of course, but I can't think of them at the moment and you only asked for one. :P

    15. Nicole

Well, I've done France already. i don't think I would live there again. If I live abroad, I would love to live in Wales. Cardiff specifically. Or maybe Ireland or Scotland. Not so much England, though.

Oh, I absolutely believe that there can be and are multiple loves. Some people will, of course, only fall in love once and it will work out and that's wonderful. The rest of us will fall in love again and again and one of people we fall in love with will be "the one" because we chose them and they chose us. I always imagined I'd fall in love and get my heart broken a few times before I find the person I am meant to be with. It makes your life a better story that way, I think. :)

For a long time, I had no idea what I wanted to do career-wise. My goal in life was and is simply to make a life that makes me happy. But I think I've figured out what I want to be now and it's funny that it's taken me this long to admit to myself that this is indeed what I want to do in life. I want to be a high school English teacher. Half of me is thinking, "Shoot me now" and the other half is just really, really excited about it. It's a terrifying thought that one day I might have to command a classroom of sullen 16 and 17 year olds, but I want to do it. English is and always has been the only subject that I am passionate about. I loved that class my whole life and I loved my teachers. I want to be that teacher for someone. (SO CORNY, I KNOW)

I was... 13? I think? when I first got my glasses and I was not happy about it. Oh, no. For two years, I would wear them when I needed them and take them off as soon as I possibly could. Usually while exiting class. Then when I was 15, I just started wearing them all the time. It was just easier. Now they are apart of me and I am loathe to take them off, even to shower or sleep. (And thank you, bb! I love my frames :D)

LOL. GOD DAMN THEM INDEED. ('SUP, GIRL. I see your Friday night is as thrilling as mine :P)
