      THANK YOU for ending Strange Angels the way you did. So many YA books end up hopelessly squishy, if you know what I mean. But you mentioned in a blog post that you might do a YA about Dru's world? Will Dru & Co. make an appearance?

      I have vague thoughts about a Maharaj girl in Dru's world, but nothing firm. At the moment I am working on a fresh, brand-new YA series that I can't announce JUST yet.

      Okay. I understand that you've heard this a million times from rabid fans. But since you posted the lovely New Year's goals and included working on the next Steelflower book, that means that it would probably come out in late 2012 to early 2013, right?

      Not necessarily. I said I would TRY.

      Also, finishing the book is only the first step. There's interesting a publisher, editing, and all sorts of other things. If the next Steelflower book is due to come out, I will certainly announce it.

      In the end of Reckoning, there was Graves leaving, Dru talking to Christophe, etc. But you didn't mention Ash? And when Dru woke up she didn't even ask about him. How come?

      I'm not sure I understand the "how come." Ash was part of the rescue team, and Dru saw him while she was being transfused. After all, he hadn't been taken by Sergej.

      I know that this isn't a fair question for an author, but which of your books/series did you have the most fun writing?

      I think I had the most outright fun with The Demon's Librarian. But you're right, it's not quite fair. It's like asking which of your children you love best. It doesn't work like that--one may love them _differently_, but not _best_.

      Will you ever write anything more about Liana? Perhaps a book or a series even? What about Danny and/or Selene? Can we expect more on their lives?

      Maybe. I am not sure yet.

      I just wanted to say that the Strange Angel series was a blast to read I'm sad to know that there won't be any more, but it was great while it lasted :D In the end she technically ended up with Graves right? :)

      No. Dru does not need to "end up" with a boy in order to be herself and grow up.

      How do your ideas for books come to you? Are you just on the treadmill and all of a sudden BOOM? Do you have a conversation with somebody, and you get an idea? And how many books do you write at one time?

      Not really. Dru has a very upsetting and dangerous life. I value my boredom.

      I would like to know if there would be another book after Defiance? If not, I feel like that Defiance shouldn't have ended that way. If so, i can't wait for your next installation of the strange angels series.

      I really enjoy how your books aren't based solely on romance, but there's still enough in there to keep it interesting. Do you start your books with the couple in mind, or does they guy kind of materialize halfway through the book's concept?

      Any romance in my books (except for the para roms) takes me by surprise. I never think I'm going to write that type of story. But it crops up sometimes.
