Hi Mike, good to hear from you. The surface of my life is stormy. The center of my life is joyful. Go figure! I would still love to coach/collaborate together some day... just let me know when. I hope you and yours are thriving too. Best, Lex

Hi, thanks for asking. In order to figure out a cost, I first need to understand what it is that you want to accomplish and if it makes sense to collaborate together. Feel free to call me at 805-886-6400 or email lex@sisney.com to arrange a preliminary call.

Yes, I love mind maps. But what I've found even more effective is to do a mind map and heart map. The left brain (analytical, process, details) accesses the mind map. The right brain (intuition, creativity, pattern recognition) accesses the heart map. Doing both gives you a complete picture into your topic. What in the heck is a "heart map?" It's a method to shift your emotions and access deeper creativity. Check out http://www.HeartMath.com to learn the basic method. To use it on your topic, first do a Mind Map. Then, when that feels complete, do the Heart Math technique and ask yourself, "What else is missing?" You'll be amazed at what additional information flows forth.

Take a break. Get back in touch with "why" you're doing what you're doing. What is important about this? Who do you serve? What is the ultimate purpose? The team/project purpose is not about making money and if your focus is money or project oriented exclusively, you're always going to run into burn-out and stagnation. Once you get clear on your biggest purpose, ask yourself, what should we stop doing? What's not in alignment with that purpose? Stop doing those things. Then ask, what should we be doing? And do those things. Last, you should never judge a project by the work being performed and always on how well the team is functioning together. A great team will take even a mediocre idea and make it great. But a mediocre team, or a team with lots of "Internal Marketing" will take a great idea and make it mediocre. http://bit.ly/1VkcHV

I'd like more information on your question. Are you interested in philosophy, health care, relationships, spirituality or all of the above? Personally, I'm a big fan of things that work... regardless of tradition or location. :-)

The primary skill you must master in marketing is thinking backwards. This "tactical triangle" does a good job of explaining the key concepts in growing a user base: http://www.perrymarshall.com/tactical-triangle/

I like this definition of success: Success is not a destination but the continual progression of a worthy ideal. Also, your business and your life are not two separate things. Here are three things that will help with your success. Alignment, Commitment, and Love. Alignment is to literally line your life up (body, mind, soul) so that all the "pieces" are congruent and headed in the same direction. Essentially, you're no longer fighting with yourself over who you really are and what you really want. This takes tremendous self-reflection and courage. Learn more about alignment here: http://bit.ly/GGLcy. Commitment is a reflection of what your life is today. If you want to create something new, you need to back it up with Commitment and that means letting go of competing Demands and Desires. Learn more about Commitment here: http://bit.ly/8v2dJ2. Finally, and most importantly, Love. Love more. Whatever is going on, whoever is in your life, find ways to love and appreciate more. There's nothing more powerful than a person in love and nothing more attractive than a person in love with their life just as it is.

The answer of course depends on the stage and size of the business. If you'd like a spectacular synopsis of what a business needs to grow at each stage/size, I suggest the book Managing Corporate Lifecycles by Dr. Ichak Adizes. http://www.Adizes.com. Personally, I'm passionate about helping entrepreneurial companies find the growth curve. What I've found in my own experience, as well as that of my coaching clients, is that when the entrepreneur is personally clear and aligned, then the business has a much greater chance of finding it's growth curve. The challenge is that its hard to find that level of personal alignment (purpose, talents, contribution, meaning, passion) in a business and it's easy to lose once you have do have it. One general piece of advice to all entrepreneurs is to align your business with your life and find a customer type you know well and a big problem to solve. This is 80% of the game.

Our concept of God evolves as our own consciousness evolves. See my book "Ready for Enlightenment?" for an in depth explanation: http://bit.ly/8YlhWw
