If i haven't worn it in the past year, it gets tossed. Unless i think i might wear it, i toss it. If it doesn't fit, it gets tossed. Anything ripped, torn or if it has holes in it, gets tossed. I do this twice/year when I switch my winter/summer wardrobes. I'm incredibly anal about this all - mostly because i like to shop. I need to have room for new wardrobe buys (not that i've added any recently. wamp wamp) but you get my drift :)

YESSS. I'm pretty sure that every man has those habits that are equipped to drive women batty.

Hubs throws pieces of trash (napkins, tea bags, etc...) in the sink and then doesn't clean them out. Hubs also will say "i'll do the dishes" and then...won't. And the piles. Many many piles. Piles of mail, clothes, they're seemingly everywhere (not really, i exaggerate) but they're minor. If these are my biggest complaints then really? I'm pretty lucky :)

mostly because i want to inspire people. i want to do something that makes a difference. I want to inspire students to be active citizens, and curious about history. It's very similar to why I wanted to be in public service/politics. I saw the difference that politicians could make and wanted to do just that - make a difference. Make someone's life better.

i started running senior year in high school - i had ran track since 8th grade doing hurdles, but in 12th grade i got into mid/long distance when i was recruited for our tiny xc team. I didn't keep up with running in college though i desperately wish I had. I ran recreationally in college once in a blue moon but when i moved to DC i needed something to keep me busy and so i picked up running again. I struggle to consider myself a runner, even though i know i am. But i skip runs, i hate running but the racing? I love the racing.

my favorite part of planning was the details. The colors and putting things together. You can see it in the pictures, designing my invitations - coordinating the program fonts to the invitation font. Picking the gifts for my bridesmaids, and of course, seeing it all come together. All the planning, the details and having the best day of my life knowing that I did it. I planned my own freakin' wedding.

No. I don't think you can. However, I do believe that you make a new home. My home? is with hubs. No matter what location it is, home is where the heart is and my heart is with him.

secondary history social studies to either middle or high school aged students. specifically american government/history.

why? because i want to inspire students. I want to change a student's life for the better - whether it's inspring them to be informed about current events; getting them to get involved in extra-curriculars; or inspiring them to push themselves and never accept anything less than the best out of others and themselves. These are lessons that i learned from my favorite teachers many years ago, and they're lessons i still hold onto today.

There are amazing teachers out there, but amidst them, there are a few bad apples that don't inspire their students the way they should. Long ago, when i decided i wanted to be involved in public service, I wanted to make someone's life better because my work on the Hill/interning, I saw that public servants and politicians have that ability. To do some REAL good work and affect people in incredibly positive ways. While i fell out of love with politics, I still have that same desire, to do good. To make someone's life better. I can only hope that I do this as a teacher. That's why I want to teach.

ohhh everything. My friends. The walkability. The familiarity. Late night pizza at lil stevies and the characters you meet there. Hockey games at Matthews Arena. Seeing the Pru from I-93 everytime i came back into town. Long talks out near the reflecting pool (both good talks and heartbreaking fights). The memories.

But Boston was what it was. It was an amazing time in my life that provided so much personal growth, love, friendship, and heartache. The memories are all boxed up as they should be for me to think back on when I need to smile. If I were to ever move back, I'd want it to be too much like what it was when I was there and it just can't be. Which is sad, but well...life goes on.

I've kept it, but I am considering selling it. Actually i really want to sell it. For some what selfish reasons - we need the money, and well, I'm never going to wear it again. I will keep my sash and my veil, hopefully to pass on to a daughter of my own someday. It's just, at this point in time, a matter of finding a place to sell it to (or someone!). There's no point of it just taking up closet space/moving it especially knowing i won't ever wear it again.

we are! Not so much pro hockey (though if i were a fan of pro-hockey I'd be a Bruins fan) I follow collegiate hockey - go huskies and we have (to the extent that we can without cable) been following the Olympics hockey - can't wait to see the gold medal match tomorrow afternoon! GO USA!!!

awwwwwwww I'm missing you too (whoever you are but i have a few guesses) - seriously missing a few people (my gal pals), and book club among many many other things.

what I like the most: the space. Our apartment is over double what we had in our english basement in DC. Granted the rent was cheaper down there than up here, and people in our complex are idiots and we often don't have parking...but this about what I like. I like that we're walking distance to a lot of stuff. Theoretically, i could walk to the train station, i can walk to my gym, to the library, hubs can walk to work and there's a bunch of places we can walk to.

i don't like: the parking there are often nights where we come home to no parking near our apartment, I hate stamford drivers - they're awful up here, I don't like the yip yip dog upstairs that makes ellie bark. I don't like the weather - give me winter! not rain! But mostly, I hate the drivers.

hehehe i do love me some trashy television, but no Jersey Shore is not the first thing that I think of.
The first thing is probably White Castle. A few summers ago when i was in college a few friends and i went to Ocean City in MD for a weekend, and on our way back gallivanted around NJ trying to find a white castle. We finally did but contrary to popular belief...there is not a White Castle in Cherry Hill :)

i'm awful at putting clothes away and going through mail. Seriously, I finally put my foot down and told hubs we, together, would put our clothes away each night after i do the laundry. I made folders to separate our mail, though i go through it each day, and i told him we'd never go to bed with dirty dishes in the sink.

those are my least favorite chores. But don't even get me started on cleaning the bathroom and vaccuming. I need to do those more often.

omg. I love Reese Witherspoon - she's the epitome of style to me.

Or have the balls to be half as daring as Sarah Jessica Parker. I'll take her shoe closet thankyouverymuch

Over the course of college, I was very much a pushover. Passive aggressive. Let people I trusted to walk all over me. Because of this, I eventually learned to stand up for myself. I learned that just because one broad doesn't give a crap about me doesn't mean I'm worthless. I learned to be honest about how i feel, to stand up for my feelings, and how to communicate. It was no easy lesson. Resulting in a lot of broken hearts, lost friendships, and a lot of tears but I'm stronger because of it, my friendships are genuine and real, and hubs and I communicate incredibly well because I learned all that about myself.

    19. Heidi

Likely not. He's working on a campaign so that'll be right after the primary which means he'll either be unemployed again or working on a general election race meaning...tres busy. I'll be starting grad school in September, and so there just won't be money or funds.

This is a super bummer but we want to take a trip to Ireland hopefully in October 2011, so we're saving up for that in the meantime.

Soon! I know, I need to do the recaps. I put a couple of them up on DCNearlyweds but that site's such a crapshoot you can't really go back and find them easily. I'll put them up very soon. I promise. Especially since Hubs and I are coming up on our 6 month anniversary in a few weeks! *Squee!*
