Do you wear stripes a lot?
I have a strong stance on this and think that stripes should be worn only if they are vertical.
Unless you want to look like you're wearing a bad welcome mat, or belong in a 1940s prison cartoon.
This is for mens #fashion of course, because women can get away with making wearing garbage bag look good. -
Why didn't Leo share the raft with Kate after the boat went down?

I've always been annoyed by that very question. Also, don't let go if you say you're never going to. Geez.

Long hair or short hair?

Because Kate is a jerk.

What country do you want to visit?
I'm so done visiting other countries (and I'm currently living in Bolivia)...after this I just want to stay in California forever and never leave. But...if I *had* to choose somewhere it would probably be Bali or back to Argentina.

How much calories do you think we expend when composing a response that would eventually garner 10 smiles?
Assuming responses that garner 10 smiles are usually lengthier in nature and the average "10 smile" response takes 5 minutes to type then you would burn ~8.5 calories (once again this assumes you burn ~102 calories for every hour of typing).
You can reward yourself for a 10 smile response by eating .28 of a carrot.

What's the nicest thing you did to support a friend?
Bully opens this Friday. See this important film.
Back in college, my friend was having some trouble at home. She arranged to move in with a friend in another state but there was a two week period before she could actually make the move. I knew she had to get out of that house, maybe more than she did. So I called up my parents and told them so-and-so is going to stay with you for two weeks. Be nice to her, she's going through some stuff. Don't talk to anyone else about it and no questions.
Even though it's really uncomfortable to move in with your friend's parents under any circumstances, I forced her to do it. After the two weeks, I came back from college to help her move. Things are a lot better now. -
Front, middle or back of the movie theater?
On the sofa, curled up in a warm blanket.
That's pretty much front and center. -
What was the last film you saw that inspired you or moved you?
Bully opens this Friday. See this important film.
I had the pleasure of seeing Bully at an early viewing and it brought up a lot of frustration that I have toward the US its education system. I wouldn't say "inspired", but definitely worth watching.

What qualities do you look for in a good boss or manager?
I had a really awesome manager at my last job and learned some protips. tl;dr: communicate dammit!
1. A good manager knows how to stay the fuck out of your way, as well as shield you from shit that will distract you and make you less productive. You're a competent person and if you have a good boss, they will let you do your job effectively. My first year at my last job I was flying home for Thanksgiving. Not having a car, I was going to have to cab to the train which would take me to SFO. It wasn't a huge deal but my boss offered to give me a ride instead and I took him up on it. Basically it would save me an hour, a few bucks and most importantly a bit of stress. It's one less thing to worry about. When I told people my boss drove me to the airport they all thought that it was a very nice gesture, but I replied, "No, it's part of his job." I was only half joking.
2. A good manager has your back. Sometimes you need to convince others (sometimes cross-teams, sometimes up the chain) that something has to be done differently. Whether you're arguing about the design or product or whatever, your boss should be able to fight effectively for you.
3. A good manager can take you to the next level. You should always be learning and growing, not just technically, but career-wise. Your boss should have an understanding of how the company works and how people get promoted. They should understand where you are trying to get to and then be able to give you tips on how to get there. Sometimes these tips are explicit, "Aaron, you need more visibility across teams. I'm putting you on this project so you can work with team X and Y. Make sure to work closely with their developers." And sometimes the advice is more subversive. Like being put on a project where your manager knows you'll run into challenge Z and have to figure it out for yourself. Growth. -
What was the last film you saw that inspired you or moved you?
Bully opens this Friday. See this important film.
Bully, actually! I got to go to a preview screening on Monday. It was very moving (though rough to watch at times), and I think it's a very important movie for kids to see.
I think part of what enables bullying is that the perpetrators don't fully understand the seriousness of their actions. Once the victim is gone, they're not thinking about them anymore. Seeing the way that bullying carries over to other aspect of the victim's life is very powerful, and I hope will teach bullies that their actions are much more destructive than they believe them to be.
I really do believe that at everyone's core, there is a good person, and it's just a matter of finding a way to connect with them. I hope this film can set some kids on the right path. -
South Park raises a good point: if "Bully" really does need to be seen by everyone, why not put it online for free?
The problem with putting this film online is that it takes away from the community engagement message that this film articulates. As part of our campaign, we're working to get as many kids around this country to see this film for free, together, with fellow peers and teachers. The group experience provides a catalyst for discussion with one another about the perils of this issue you simply don't get when viewing the film alone in the comfort of your own home. Real social change doesn't come from watching something from afar and taking a backseat approach, but instead from observing it at the source and then actually taking action.

I'm 14 and I go to WRT. I'm am Jewish, and i like being Jewish, but I'm not really sure about how much I believe in god. Is that okay? Is that normal?
Totally normal! Totally healthy for one's spiritual development!
Really -- it's more than okay. The real challenge I would place before you is to continue your spiritual exploration. My hope would be that we could expand the definition of "God." I often say to people, "The god you don't believe in, I don't believe in either!" If you're talking about not believing in an all-powerful, all-knowing deity who controls individual destiny and intervenes in history -- well, I don't believe in that kind of god either.
I'd be eager at any point to chat more with you. You know how to find me....
Shabbat Shalom!
