Good morning Bro, I hope I could reach your help on time. I have an Elantra 1999 gls. The starter cranks good but the engine wont start. Ok daw fuel pump and ignition coil thay are looking at possible computer issues - glennzki
I'd like you to definitively check if there is spark and fuel getting to each cylinder. It helps if you can read spark plugs to see the actual condition at the cylinder every time you try to crank the motor. (Check out this link for a guide: http://www.ngksparkplugs.com/tech_support/spark_plugs/faqs/faqread.asp) If either spark or fuel is absent, trace the issue at those systems. If you are getting both spark and fuel at the cylinders and it still won't start, your engine's timing must be off (did you overhaul your engine?) Last resort is bringing your car to the casa and having them diagnose your car via their GDS. I sincerely hope this helps. - JK
