The old spice man...and I don't mean that fictional character from the commercials. I mean a true to life man that had all of the qualities that he possesses. Of course you'll probably get this answer from anyone for the next week or so. Ask me again in 6 months.

I've written about how I feel that the action of the "check-in" is an important one that is here to stay and will evolve beyond it's current implementation across many services. That being said, having it added to the world's biggest social network seems to be a no-brainer...but you never know.

No there isn't currently a way to see who's following you on Formspring. I think that's ok as it shouldn't matter and might help people be more open not worrying about who may be looking over their answers.

I remember I was in bed and my wife woke me up as it was being broadcast on TV. I went to work that day and the whole company crammed into our largest conference room to watch the news unfold on TV. It was a very surreal day.

Not sure immediately focusing on what it could do for you is the right approach. I find the value in many new services to be an organic process that I discover over time. At the very least its a great way to open yourself up to others to better understand who you are and even gain internal insights along the way. Not sure if using this as a business tool is a good approach either.

Computers were a hobby ever since I got my first one, a Vic-20 at age 15. After taking a part time job at a computer store in the early 80's, and having been disillusioned by my pursuit of journalism, I realized my hobby could turn into a career. By the late eighties I was a partner in a computer retail/consulting company and in the mid 90's had a consulting client buy out my company (along with my partner) to go work for him full time to manage their IT and Internet division. Having already been a geek, I immersed myself in all things Internet and have continued working for many companies over the last 10+ years in this space and have loved it. While it can be a slippery slope to have both your hobby and career be the same due to burnout I feel very fortunate to have a career I'm very passionate about.
