I love cheese dip/queso. It is literally found at EVERY restaurant in the south and I could eat it with every meal if someone would allow me to. Luckily, I've only found good queso at 2 places in New York so it makes it easier to resist.

I also LOVE dessert. I could eat ice cream all day and night. Definitely the biggest thing I don't indulge in would be desserts, but when I do "treat myself" dessert is what I treat myself with!

Thank you!!! Sweetest thing ever, but for real, I am the worst person to take fashion advice from ever. I steal from other people's ideas 100%. And I'm really simple - 90% of my outfits come from Banana Republic, Gap or Old Navy. Throw in a little Ann Taylor, Forever 21, H&M and random NYC boutiques that I love, and there you have it.

Excellent question, formspring! The thing is, I started my “life” blog almost 2 years ago. I had been wanting to start a blog for my friends and family back home (Arkansas/Louisiana), and my coworker Genna told me about Tumblr. So for the first year and a half, I did not get involved in the Tumblr community, just used the platform. This past summer, Genna told me about 125 and LosingWeightInTheCity and suggested I follow them for encouragement, which I did. Which led to Downsizing and me falling in love with Tumblrs of all kinds.

Here’s a snapshot of some of my favorite reads and why…

LizLemon and GraceinSmallThings - I’m convinced I should have gone to college with these two. Both from the South (check), love all my favorite shows (Check Check), love football (check), we have common IRL friends (check). I could keep going but I won’t. Elizabeth is always hilarious, and Kristin goes on more adventures in one week then I will in my lifetime.

PinkSeerSucker, HeyLaney, JulieKraut, NYMinute - These four are the most genuine, funny and good people EVER. I enjoy reading about their life simply because of how real and fun they are. And most of the time Julie’s posts make me spit out my drink I’m laughing so hard.

CookNook and PreppyWithaTwist - Where I get all of my fashion advice, and lust after all of the beautiful jewels and shoes they have.

WithoutMelissa/DearBaby - If you can imagine the most heartwarming, creative person who is deliriously in love with her husband, her friends and her life and she is having a baby and sharing all of her sweetest thoughts about life… that’s Melissa. I want to be her in my next life, 100%.

TwoSquishyGirls has been one of my favorite new weight loss blogs to follow. She is just so encouraging to everyone and anyone and always makes me smile. Also, I read KickAssAndTakeNames (has already lost 100 lbs!), SkinnyAmbition, GettingThereAsFastAsICan, and ThatGirlNamedSmash.

Loafersansocks, HolleewoodWorld and MyKol78 are classic, enjoyable blogs that everyone loves.

There are probably a million more but these are my go-to’s for daily entertainment, joy and encouragement. Enjoy!

My mom is always the first to comment on my slip ups or my bad decisions. Sometimes she’s a bit too harsh, but most of the time she reminds me of my end goals and keeps me on track.

Genna is also a close runner up, although a little less so in the past couple of months since we stopped working together. She has beat me with wrapping paper to knock Girl Scout cookies out of my hand, hid candy from my desk, and sent me fruit during my dad’s recent surgery.

The weight loss was a pretty big highlight, but I think the real answer is that I feel like I’ve finally settled into myself this year. On top of losing almost 50 lbs, I’ve discovered confidence and strengths in me that I didn’t know were there. I’ve never really “liked” who I was until this year. I keep joking that I’m “hitting my peak” as an adult, and I 100% believe that.

I can’t imagine life not in New York, and plan to be here for at least another 3-5 years, but I assume that in 10 years I’ll be in Dallas with a family. And a Saint Bernard dog. ;)

She's "busy" and determined, but very kind. My first Fashion Week a few years ago I had no clue who she was, but happened to read an article about how she single handedly made IMG and Fashion Week into the empires they are. So then, when I happened to be seated beside her at the Zac Posen show, I started gushing about how inspiring she was and yada yada. She was extremely gracious and told me that if "it's your passion, you can make anything happen." That has stuck with me ever since.

I do work a lot, and it does help that I love it. I am in PR, with a focus on consumer events and sponsorships. Working in NYC is at once exhausting, challenging and exhilariting. There are times when I want to move back south and get a 9 to 5 desk job, and then the very next day I'll end up on a cruise ship or talking to Fern Mallis at the Fashion Week tents. That's why I moved to New York, so I try to be grateful for my job even when I'm worn out and beat down.

If I wasn't in PR, I would be a life coach. I can barely hold my messy life together, but I give AMAZING advice and enjoy helping others solve their problems!
