mmmm...my focus isn't really Buddhism, per se....I am interested in all symbolic icons...truly!....if it appears there is a Buddhist focus, I think its certianly something on my mind a lot lately..the whole idea of ego, and mind, and being in control of your thoughts and meditation, and well the whole idea on non-attachment...I tend to be an attacher...not to things...I am not materialistic at all... but I sometimes get attached to old ideas and notions....and wish that I could just let go sometimes without so much internal struggle... work in progress!

I am a pretty intrinsically motivated person...I just get an idea and go...have been that way since the day I arrived...as for inspiration, so many....michele oka doner, nikki de saint phalle, frida kahlo, georgia okeeffe, alexander calder, anyone who sings beautifully, people who give up 'earthly pleasures' and a comfortable western life to be stewards of the earth...so much more...I am easily inspired! :)

born....literally...in Toronto, CA....figuratively, a whole bunch of other places...I grew up in the States...never lived there, but am now geographically closer than I have ever been....I can watch Canadian tv from here!

color...and very strange ones at that...sometimes the whole night is simply changing designs, like on a kaleidoscope....and then other times, extremely vivid scenarios of things in my past. or things in my future...so many times, I have had dreams that included people....who later appeared to me in the flesh in my life!

I have read them....and I think they are great books ( though more geared for writers?)....I think the biggest thing about them that I like is that she dispels the myth that creating just sort of pops out of oneself without regular practice....this is big. I think a lot of folks who do not make art, or have an interest in developing their own creativity feel as if artists just pump out this great stuff, fully formed, right off the bat!....truth is, we dont let you SEE our experiments and the things we toss...you only get to see the finished product AFTER all the experimentation and fits and starts ( and I believe many artists are responsible for perpetuating these myths too!)

you know, i am not necessarily a believer, or a non-believer...I am sort of agnostic where that one is...I don't know....I cannot say I have knowledge of having been someone else or anything like that....though, I do believe that the energy of those who have passed stays around us....( I hope that answers your ?)

i hate it when my different foods touch on a plate! when I was little, my mom made me eat off one of those ones with the sections on it! I don't know..you might have to ask someone who has lived with me.....

Albuquerque....its a really big city now....huge boom in the last 8 years which has really changed the complexion of the place...I miss the old weird funkiness...slicker is not for me.. there is now lots of urban sprawl and the crime to go with it :(....like any place, living somewhere is very different than visiting....

oh, my guiltiest pleasure of all is any 'reality' tv show that features dance, like "so you think you can dance?"....I don't know why, they just suck me in, like a train wreck! can I pick 2? True Blood !...did you see the one where there was a commercial for Vampires and Humans being able to marry in Vermont! hee ha!

I am not much of a plane person....if I was, I think Australia, New Zealand,and Tibet. That being said, I have secret fantasies of driving my car from the tip of Alaska to the tip of South America....I prefer the slow route!....I would learn language along the way, eat native foods and soak up each unique culture!..
To be honest, I feel like one could just keep driving all over this incredible country and see such amazing diversity....or trains..I wish the trains were like the ones in Europe! -

Hmmm....I don't have a favorite, and I like many different kinds of music....everything from world music of all kinds, to r and b, to alternative... these days I am loving Patty Griffin, Downtown Church!...I should let you know, I am somewhat hearing impaired...so I rarely understand the lyrics well...I just love certain voices and their timbre!
