      i was wondering the techniques of photography. how do you get the pictures to look the way they do? and if you have to go to college to have a photography business.

      The main thing to master with photography is proper exposure and knowing how to use light! A pretty background means nothing if you don't have the right light.

      I don't think it's totally necessary to go to college in order to run a photography business. Stehvn and I both graduated from U of I...but both in degrees not related to photography. Education is definitely important to a photography business...but I know of a lot of self-taught photographers and many who have attended a lot of workshops for their education. That being said...there is a lot more to running a photography business than just pretty photos! The business side is what kills most photographers! A business course or two...or even better...a business degree...can really enhance your business from that side.
