Dead I would have to say Groucho Marx. Just spending an hour with him and the stories would be like gleaning a lifetime of wit and sarcasm for a full life. In a similar vein, I would love to meet Penn Jillete. HIs stories are just a force of nature and he gives you the impression he is just as excited about whatever the discussion is as you are.

I will say my track record for meeting "famous" people is horrible. I either turn into sputtering fanboy or treat them like their neighbor so I am never memorable.

A cool frood with interesting things to say

I went on a business trip to Cincinnati where my boss flew the plane. The moment we landed I grabbed my glasses and the immediately broke beyond repair. Spent that morning in Kentucky getting them fixed, then drove back to the meeting to catch the last hour before getting back in the plane to go back. Best part, he let me fly.

Coming back to Virginia on a business trip from Orlando Florida. Bad weather, plane felt like it would rip apart at any moment, and tons of turbulence. Several weeks later that same carrier had a major crash which put them out of business.
