Are you 100% proud of your nationality?
No, I'm not exactly proud. But I'm definitely not ashamed of it either. It's just a 'whatever' thing to me. I love my country, yes.
However, I agree with George Carlin when he said that your nationality is nothing but a mere genetic accident. I believe that you take pride in something that you worked hard for. And your nationality isn't one of them.
So, yeah. I love my country and will never be ashamed of it. But I will not go running around and going up to other people and tell them that I'm proud to be a Filipino. It's what I do for my country that matters :) -
