Runner's World, of course! Actually that is just one of the only magazines I read. The academic journals in my field don't put people on the cover, so yeah. I will stick with Runner's World. Me, my spandex tights, my Saucony's. Let's make it happen.

This is a tough one. *I* would also like to move to the other side of the country, but in my case I have to stay where the job is.
If you're in a more flexible position in terms of your work, I guess the first think to do would be look for employment for you or your husband first, then set everything else in motion. I have no helpful thoughts on the home business, though, as I am a lifelong renter. Selling a house sounds awfully .... labor intensive.
So I guess start with the work, career, livelihood level of things and see where that takes you?
Good luck! That's an exciting thing to be thinking about! -
Just yet another social networking thing! I have seen a few people participating and I always love the chance to air my opinion on any subject, so I jumped on in. I will pretty much try anything like this on the web at least once!

I don't really know, since I don't really know how others perceive us. I haven't been outside academia, well, ever. I will say that popular culture tends to portray college professors and instructors as wealthier, older, and meaner than we actually are. Also, outside of the movies, some of us are women.
I am going to test and see if this answer posts - formspring has been deleting my answers as soon as I hit save.
OK, PLEASE POST. -
I have a particular kind of fear of heights: I hate being on edges or ledges. Balcony edges, even with a railing, are awful. Stairwells where you can see all the way down through multiple floors? Torture!

Violence is a pretty easy answer here. I don't like it in any form: fighting, guns, wars, using physical force to control other people. That kind of stuff. It just makes me want to punch someone in the face.
