hello peter: does mexico and belize accept visa credit cards? in particular for public transportation, lodging, and major purchases.
The major bus lines accept credit cards. Some hotels do as well, but the cheaper ones mainly take cash. For major purchases, yes, you can use a credit card. There are also plenty of ATMs to access cash.
