I work all kinds of freelance jobs while I'm back home...so I have the flexibility to create my own schedule.

My top 3 and why:
Krakow, Poland - Lived there before studying in Sweden. My family is from Poland and it was the first time I traveled by myself internationally. Had an amazing time; the culture, food, architecture, history, everything!
Hawaiian Islands - Kick butt. bottom line.
Belize - It was surprise for me while traveling through Mexico. Had one of my best meals there and met some really cool people. -

Thank you! I had a great time in El Remate. That was most definitely a highlight of the trip.

Hey Bas, I think it's very safe. Obviously anything bad can happen anywhere, but from our experience the people of Mexico and Central America are very friendly. If you start somewhere in Mexico, I'm sure you can find a travel partner to travel with for parts of your journey. There are so many travelers traveling solo, and some are really open to meeting new people to explore with. Good luck, and I hope you get a chance to go on this journey!

I purchased the leather hat in a town in Mexico called San Cristobal De Las Casas. I'm thinking about selling some on my InTransit site.
As for being in shape, I try to work out 5 days a week and eat healthy. However, since the river trip...I've been drinking and eating a little bit more than normal. -

I use FCP (Final Cut Pro) to edit. The intro sequence was created by someone from Europe. He's a motion graphics guy.

That's great! Thank you. I absolutely love Guatemala. Not sure when we'll be revisiting, but hopefully soon :) If I go down, I'll let everyone know.

i think you can visit the Thorn Tree Forum on LonelyPlanet.com...they have some useful information on there.

Hey there. Thank you. As for the bus, we would catch them all over the place but mainly at the main bus terminals. Those are located pretty close to the city center. Sometimes within walking distance, and sometimes it's outside of the city...depending on which direction you go. Some cities have a lot of bus stations that service different parts of the country.
Should you do it? Sure...why not? If you're not enjoying it, you can always hop on a plane home. -
Absolutely! Have talked about it in the past.

Hey! On this recent trip down the river, we shot with the Canon 60d and edited on Final Cut Pro for the Mac. For the Mexico Central America trip we shot on a Canon XH-A1 and also edited on FCP.

They will appear on my youtube.com/pdrop page as well as http://www.intransit.tv. I've been away for the holidays, and it's been difficult to edit and upload the next episodes.

And yes! I would do it again. Perhaps with a 100 or 150cc engine so we can deviate off course and explore more.

Thanks for the question.
1) Fuel wasn't such a big issue. There were stretches where we'd be runnin low and there wasn't a gas station for miles. We fixed that by each scooter carrying a couple gallons strapped down to the floorboard. I can't recall the mpg, but it was up in the 80s I believe, maybe even more.
2) no legal issues other than being told by cops not to be on the road while going over Cedar Breaks. Since we were going so slow, we became a safety issue to other drivers speeding around the mountain. -
We used a lonely planet. I always recommend them. Try not to read too much into them, let yourself do some of the discovering. Simply use it as a reference. Chances are if you follow it too closely, you'll be following travelers reading the same book and can't help but look like a tourist when you're around a group of people holding the same book.

Not sure, wish I did. At the time we were just focused on moving...didn't matter where we were going, just as long as we were moving.
