I restrict access until I actually speak to a potential client, before they decide to hire me. Its a business decision.

Sorry, that should have said 2008, not 2009

What's real? I'm pretty sure its just one person asking all these questions in a row. But you already knew that didn't you! :)

Depends on the month. I'm shooting for 15 to 20 per month.

I love film. I only did digital because I thought it would make me competitive, i realized it didn't do anything but make me lazy in my shooting style.
I started with film 5 years ago for about 2 years, then shot digital for 2 years and switched back to film last year. -
I learned by trial and error, talking to other experienced photographers kind enough to share insights, and reading lots of things online and at the library/bookstore.
I recommend 110% Easy as Pie pricing guide. Its simple, easy to implement, and works. http://www.served-up-fresh.com/reviews.html
I also recommend reading Getting Things Done and How it all works by David Allen. It helped me stay on track and figure out what I really wanted and the next action on how to get there.
As for photography related stuff.. Read Brand Camp http://brandcampblog.com/ -
When I worked with a few seniors back in 2009 and it was a lot of fun, they wanted to be there, they were into it, and it didn't last all day. I like being able to keep regular business hours and still get to spend a lot of time with my family.

Scans. Scans are pretty good nowadays, so I think it doesn't matter if you print from the negative or from a scan. How big do you want it? We can go pretty big, especially if its shot on MF, which gives a bigger negative. As an aside, the largest I've ever tried printing from a 35mm is 30x40.

Living in the Bay Area provides for great weather year round, so it doesn't matter. but if you're a Senior, any time before April of your graduating year is best.

For me digital means learning how to be a colorist, digital processor, computer guru and chained to my desk. I don't have to do any of that when I shoot film. The skin tones and color comes out like i want, i don't have to tweak in PS and I dont have to buy/upgrade expensive software and hardware every 2 months.

Richard Photo Lab processes, scans the negatives and then sends me a CD that I then back up 5 million times. I sleeve the negatives and put them in binders and take them to a secret location guarded by care bears. :)
