i love them both for completely different reasons.
i've grown up with the wings since i was young, if you love hockey in michigan, you love the red wings. i've screamed, cheered, and cried with that team and i'll love them forever. i've watched them win 4 stanley cups and there is nothing like watching a game at the joe.
however, since i've moved to chicago i have developed a love for the hawks. i love that they are so energetic and already an amazing team. i also am in love with their marketing. call me a nerd because i'm studying marketing and pr in school, but their promotion and publicity is so great. i love that the team is so personable and down to earth in a completely different way than detroit.
long answer, but ultimately if the wings are playing the hawks i will cheer on detroit, always. -

i absolutely love chicago. it has to be the best city i've ever lived in. however paris will always be my favorite. it's so romantic and has such amazing culture no where i've been compares.
