I wanted to go to a very art-centric college with a good reputation. Yes I loved my undergrad. I lived on campus for 4 years surrounded by 500 acres of beautiful woods. Those were the days.

It's worse. Truly crazy out there, esp for people w pets since the inventory is like zero. And yes it's worth it to live in a city like this.

It's all gut. I've interviewed people who were great, but I knew they wouldnt like it here or we couldn't spare the time to train them and I'd see them fail. It's like a relationship. Chemistry has to be just right.

I look for -- can u do the job, would u like it, and if I like you. I ask a lot about their passions/interests and pose challenging client scenario questions. I'm not impressed easily and im tough on people.

don't focus on all the small details right away, look big picture and get the lay of the land before you are too buried to be strategic. Make a lot of lunch dates and pick people's brains on what it takes to be a rock star. also, i like doing my prep work before a new job- be up on the industry, competitors and opportunities.

My waxed jacket from Jack Spade. It's stiff as hell, but it's literally an armor against the elements. Barbour makes some nice waxed pieces as well.

I have both. I wouldnt replace my kindle for reading. The e-ink is so easy on the eyes. The iPad is fun for glossy images and videos but the glare is awful.
