Ask me anything. Within reason.

Crivens, sorry - apparently formspring is fail and decided not to bother letting me know that there was a question waiting!
Hmmm. Personally (and this is the Kate speaking here) I like bits of both - Vertigo brought us The Sandman and Fables and V for Vendetta, which automatically puts me on the DC side of things (that and, y'know, BATMAN. And Teen Titans, of course...) but my first superhero-based love was Spiderman. And X Men. So I have a lot of love for Marvel, too. And Marvel 1602 is amazing (...basically if Neil Gaiman did it, I love it. And I know I can say the same for Ally.) as was Spiderman Loves Mary-Jane.
Basically, I can't really choose :3 I think my favourite comic of all time (other than JP, of course!) is probably A Frog's Eye View from 1001 Nights of Snowfall. Which is from Fables. Which is Vertigo. Which is DC. So. (Hunt it down, read it, it'll make you cry.)
Kelsey says DC - in fact, her exact words are "DC BECAUSE TEEN TITANS." I like to imagine she did a little dance then. Or possibly sang the theme tune. Both.
Ally says DC because her loyalties will always be to Batman, first and foremost. (She definitely sang the theme tune, or possibly played more Arkham. Probably both. She can multitask.)
NatNat, however, is all about X Men. Therefore Marvel. (X Men are pretty awesome. I know I can speak for all of us when I say GAMBIT/ROGUE OTP!)
(the real conclusion from this is that I overthink everything and I love parentheses. Probably too much.) -
Oooh! Not especially, I'd say, but how violent (I'm presuming violence!) may influence whether it's linked to or posted (and linked to). Incidentally, emailing Kelsey is the preferred method :3

Kelsey saaaays: I'm always willing to collaborate on projects with other majors. Of course with the webcomic, I'm already collaborating with three people, so I'm good there, but I love picking up new projects to do work for on the side.

I for one am very excited :3 Drop a link on twitter to one of us, or if you prefer Ms Kelsey's email is on the Creators page!

I have realized this. It has, been fact, been brought to my attention more times than I can count by more students than I can count in both the animation and sequential majors here at SCAD. I don't, however, plan right now to take sequential classes at SCAD due to a greater interest in other classes I find important to my future career. If I find the time in my schedule, I might squeeze in a Drawing for Sequential elective, but right now everything is kind of up in the air.
Besides that, I try to soak in whatever I can when my friends from those other majors share their work with me. I know I have a lot to learn, and it will take time for me to improve, but I look forward to that process. SCAD is full of resources and I take every opportunity it gives me to better myself. -
It's never a Katums question ;_;
ANYWAY. Our esteemed arteest says: I did two layers of shading, one "hard" layer with the pencil tool and then went over it with an airbrush to soften it out and the highlights are done entirely in airbrush instead of the pencil tool. I'm still technically messing around with it. Don't expect anything to stick forever.
And then there was coffee, and ms Kelsey was distracted by it, because coffee is gooooooooood. Why don't I have coffee? Oh, no, wait, I have tea. That's alright then. -
Aww, that's not a question.
And you're not Moose from Pepper-Ann, so Kate's disappointed. -
Yes! I will totally be up for collaborative projects with webcomic friends. If theres one thing I've learned in college its that collaborating/networking is the best possible thing you can do.
One day I'll also consider having people do guest strips or just swapping fanart since it all makes good publicity. -
That's one of her main roles. Sure, she's got the powers, but she's mostly there to look cute as hell.
-
I can sure as hell put it on my to do list
(and I WILL) -
Dude.
It's totally Dwayne.
AND HE LOVES IT.
(there may be some ladyfartin' going on, but so long as Dwayne is around nobody else is getting the blame.)
(jo totally sets light to hers when she's drunk. she hasn't had to go to hospital yet.) -
Ooooh, interesting one. Most of the original incarnations of the JP girls (physically at least, and personality to some extent) were heavily based on their creators, something which has remained true in most cases - physically, anyway. Luckily the years went by and they've become characters in their own right! Dwayne isn't based on anyone, though, although there's a guy coming along who has his roots in real life... (Kate's 16-year-old real life - oh, the past.)
As for our other characters (some you've seen, some you've yet to see - the excitement, you guys!) they're mostly out of the air, or out of good ideas that we knew we could shape.
Good question :D Ask again, yesyes? -
to post adventures is the real quest, to have training montages is the cause.
But seriously, it is. It totally is.

Jupiter Palladium...’s Bio
Port Jupiter
Got a question about the Jupiter Palladium webcomic? Or just fancy some lulz? It's like a very, very specific Answer Me This.
