Thanks for coming to my office hours!
Well first, its a good thing that you've decided you won't stay where you've been. Take some time to reflect on what really inspires you. Think through your entire day - When are you the happiest? Of those times, what exactly are you doing? (talking with people, giving advice, reading, etc) Start to take note of the moments when you feel most inspired throughout your week. What are the shows, artists, the music etc that really brings you joy. Those are the things you want to focus on, and those are the things that will bring you closer to finding the job that's a true fit.
Leaving your boring job is just about you taking a step out. Always try to leave professionally and on good terms. You never want to burn bridges.
In terms of finding your purpose - again take account of what brings you joy. I've found that usually one's purpose is in some way tied to what they instinctively love doing for others. -
Me too! I love helping people :)

Yes. Get a mentor in the PR world. And...start to establish your brand as a PR agent now. What brands do you want to represent? Research them and get very familiar with their values/standards etc. Align your personal brand in similar ways. Focus on developing smaller brands & publicizing people within your read h so you build your portfolio. Track your progress so you can add it to your resume. Also - whatever you want, start saying it. Out loud! What you put out in the universe will come back.
-
Yes! Your resume is your story. It needs to represent you. It'll be extra work, but you should definitely change your resume to reflect the experiences most relevant to the job description for every job. (Ex: if the job requires teaching experience, highlight that in your resume and take out something else less applicable)
As for objectives...hmm they're ok, but definitely not necessary. Pay attention to industry standards though. If you see a lot of them in that industry include it. If not- no.
Good luck! -
It's my pleasure! :)

Awww, this sucks but you gotta go. There's obviously no pop & sparkle on the guy's part so I think it's best to cut ties. Don't fake it. Honor the truth in your heart and respect it. If she ain't the one you wanna move forward with --- bounce.

Let me think on this - got some connections. Will get back to you. In the interim, get your resume tight! Know your 60 elevator pitch. Why are you competitive? What could you bring to the table? Get that tight.

I love being in my present. This age is great. Though I do sometimes get envious of the little kids who get to be pushed around in strollers when it's cold. That's be nice.

Mission impossible 4

It could be a great idea. Definitely allows you freedom to express a variety of thoughts without feeling restrained to your previous "brand." Though you'll always want to be mindful of whatever you write as you want it to represent you well, no matter if it's your real name, or your alias. :)

What's normal? Don't base your life on what others are doing. Just focus on living your purpose and the things God has for you. If you want to start dating, go for it! It's certainly not too late. Find balance between all that you do and go for it.

Go for it! Just wear heels and some cute jewelry.
