In a perfect situation I like to have our couples get ready at the same hotel... logistically it makes things quite a bit easier. Hotels often make for a more unique background for photos than a house does. The main thing I try to stress to couples getting ready is to be cognizant of their surroundings. If your makeup artist takes you into the laundry room because the light is best in there, your washing machine will be in every photo.
