If it's up to me, yes.

Hmm honestly I dont think I can pick top 5 songs. I constantly go through phases and they are always changing.
Top 5 movies would be Radio Flyer, Dumb & Dumber, The Sandlot, Rudy, Step Brothers -
Alive and well coaching little league baseball and softball.
Oh and still rocking the design world except with much more impact! -
1 maybe 2. Depending on if we get a boy next. We may move back one day. We've both decided that we're not going to discuss it until at least 5 years from now though. Who knows what we will feel by then.
-
That's easy. TV for sure. I can watch TV shows on my computer but I cant design on my TV.

Im a mix of Spanish/Irish and a few other unknowns.
Natalie is half Russian and a mix of german/spanish/others. -
We haven't been able to think of another girl name yet. We've bounced around a few ideas but nothing we are sold on yet.
For a boy we would name him Jolby Jack Hemsley. -
I hate traffic. :)
...And have you seen how beautiful Oregon is? -
Really good question! And you know, Im not entirely sure. Working from home has been an amazing experience, especially since having my daughter born last year. Currently I wouldn't trade it for the world.
But I do strive on being in a creative atmosphere. This will probably drive me to move and build the business in a collaborative atmosphere one day. Im not sure if it would necessarily be an expansion of the biz or more of a joint collaborative. I just know I will one day want to surround myself w/ a group of creative. I've already played around with the idea but right now my focus is on enjoying as much time seeing my daughter grow up. -
Right now I have about 8 active design projects. I tend to bounce around through all of them throughout the day.

How about boxer briefs? That would have been my answer but since it wasn't an option I am going to have to say neither :)
-
I answered a similar question below but basically each project is different providing different challenges which automatically brings out a different form of creative solution.
But as I mentioned before....
"I think being aware of your surroundings and recognizing good design, type, patterns, textures, etc.. that surround us all day will open up the doors for creativity" -

English and a few words of spanish and french. lol. -
Hmm not quite sure what you are asking here.
Favorite design I have done?
That would be tough to answer. I feel with each design I do I am hopefully moving forward leaving my past designs in the past. I look back at work I've done just a few months ago and can critique it to death. The most fun project I've work on though would probably be for MacTarnahans Brewery.
Favorite Design by someone else?
This past year my favorite design was probably carsonified.com. I think they really introduced a new level of hierarchy simple based on type treatments and a main illustration. They didn't depend on crazy gradient or shadows and such for a beautiful execution. -
I find inspiration from literally everything around me.
For example, just the other day I was playing around with some color options for a new site and found an awesome color palette from my Kernel Seasons Popcorn Seasoning. lol.
Although it doesn't always happen like that, I think being aware of your surroundings and recognizing good design, type, patterns, textures, etc.. that surround us all day will open up the doors for creativity. -
Well I'm not quite 25 yet (4 more months) but regardless, my answer is ABSOLUTELY NOT.
I feel so lucky and blessed to have been able to meet my wife/best friend at a young age. We practically grew up together and "tying the knot" was an easy decision for both of us. It was just a matter of being patient until we both finished school and got our careers lined up.
Having a daughter has been the most amazing experience. I never thought I could love and treasure someone so much. I cant even find the words to describe it. My daughter truly is God's gift to my wife and I. -
I have a Bachelor's degree in Visual Communications w/ an emphasis in Interactive Web Media. But don't let that fool you. 90% of what I know was NOT taught by in school. Unfortunately my school experience was a joke. But that's not to say all education is a joke. Its how you apply what you learn, even if it is a little. I just used it as a jump starter to the real learning experience.. doing actual work.
Reading books and online tutorials have been great but I have to say most of the stuff I learn comes from talking and collaborating with others within the industry. -
Lots of late nights and weekend work. For me though, the transition came because the work slowed down at my in-house position so I ended up having a lot of time on my ends.
