Multiple part, as no one teacher could be said to be my favorite: Joshua Cornwell, for showing me that Shakespeare is totally bad-ass; Lisa Bigsley, tiny, sexy, and fierce forever; Jennifer Byrd, kookiest and mightiest of history teachers; Robert B Graves, autodidact I hope to emulate; Tonjua Chapman, for showing me just the right amount of disinterestedness a teacher could show while still being incredibly effective; Mr Melton, for his awesome straight-outta-the-'90s pop culture-literature mash-ups; Mr Herold, for his stereotypical English professoriality; and Dr Miller, for showing me how to read actively.

Please see Ms Salome's response. I don't think I could do better.

Ooh, tough one. I want to say House or Mad Men, but The Daily Show or Colbert Report are the only ones I watch anymore (due to lack of TV). So, The Daily Show.

Mountains. Preferably the Alps, when it's snowing or raining heavily, with lots of thunder. & then I want to tell ghost stories.

the coffee pot, the guitar, & my copy of sexual personae.

Hunter S. Thompson, & it doesn't matter where we would go, 'cause the party would be wherever we are.

There are actors I like & actors I don't, & I never hear anyone talking about actors. weird.

I can't think of anyone I'd rather be, than me. :)

who would answer 'get up early?'... I would. I love getting up an ridiculous hours & gettin' shit done. which is not to say that I don't like sleeping late. I just don't like doing it every day. it makes my day weird, to wit: I'm achy & drowsy & I normally have really freaky dreams. summer's a bitch for me, 'cause I never have anything to do, so I sleep late.

Slow West Vultures - My favorite, by far. It starts off big, and swells and swells, and somehow manages to stay that impossibly giant for two-and-a-half minutes. It makes me think of sunrises. I get up before dawn every week day to catch the bus, and seeing the sun light up my blue room, listening to this song, I feel ready to take on whatever the hell comes my way, for the world about to come. Also, driving/riding car/bus + listening to this song + seeing sunrise = the sublime breaks your mind for a minute or two.
Palmcorder Yajna - I had a New Year's Eve reunion in Raleigh with my Governor's School buddies, and all nine of us didn't sleep for two-and-a-half days. This song is those 2.5 days. People you know well, maybe too well, in familiar surroundings, staying up until dawn (whether it be from methamphetamine [not us, mind you, but JD & Co.] or epic Internet DJ battles), walking around in 30 degree weather, and wondering what the hell to do next because we keep getting lost. Also, fishnets. There was a Rocky Horror Picture Showing on New Year's Day, and we were in attendance. A hilarious and sexy evening was had by all.
All Up the Seething Coast - This song is every sleepless night I've had this year. Three AP courses, two honors courses, one online community college course, college applications, scholarship applications, graduation projects: it all adds up to less sleep than I've ever had in my life. I've become a caffeine addict. JD sounds so fucking tired and defeated in this song. That's how I feel on most days. But then I see the sunrise, and the whole thing starts over again. -
Ms Salome, I am not. I should totally be. That way, I may constantly inform the world of my deepest, darkest thoughts concerning "We Shall All Be Healed," of which there are many. Holy god.
