If "airports only" (MTL) don't count, then I've been to France, and about 500 feet into Italy.

Not sure if it's the "nicest", but one thing that stands out was when I was eating alone in a diner one Christmas and a stranger bought my dinner.

As cheesy as it sounds, pretty much any "underdog" story. I love seeing the little guy triumph over adversity.
