1. Watching 16 and Pregnant with you, in the same apartment, but in separate rooms.
2. Two years ago I attended a Sheryl Crow concert by myself. I made friends with the people standing around me, and I was right up next to the stage.
3. The Summer before he left for NYC, Miles's parents came to Athens and rented a small cabin on a lake. We stayed with them a few days and just hung out, had some campfires, took a crazy boat ride. On the last day, we drove out to what seemed like the middle of nowhere and took a walk in the woods for several hours. Every 10 minutes we'd come across a sign that warned us of a different poisonous snake that could be found in the area. Eventually we weren't walking on trails anymore. We found an old cemetery. On the drive home Miles tried to teach me French.
4. A week after we met I went to a concert with Miles in Athens, GA. It was Apples in Stereo. We held hands for the first time.
5. Driving away from Michigan in my '93 Tempo, on my birthday, listening to Sheryl Crow and feeling good about the future. -
I burn once in the spring, and then I just get more and more tan. I also get new freckles every summer.

I love open-faced broiled sandwiches made with leftovers. No recipe because it's a little different every time.
