hello!
I've been quite good would be the concise answer =)
However, if you'd like to know what's been going on in detail:
a) i was supposed to go back to school, but suddenly an influx of studio work (5 albums, from the looks of it :o!!) made me think twice about taking my masters this month. I'm now aiming for a feb date =)
b) i just watched the story of anvil a few hours ago, and decided that I'm really going to push for the release of that Halik ni Gringo album before the year/January 2011 ends. I love procrastinating, and i really should stop haha i really like the idea that we can put out an album without having to go to Dover and spending 13,000pounds
c) to tie up items a and c, we're proceeding with the complete renovation of our studio facility this month. I've been putting it off as well (see, i really do love procrastinating), but we're getting this thing done ASAP. The uber talented Nina Torres will even design and bring to life my steampunk/airship interior concept!
d) to tie items a, b and c, I plan to revive my gaze/metal project band The Mary Curies (http://myspace.com/themarycuries) because I now know how to plot drums in Reason and got a nice new DI box to record my 7-string with at the studio. And i wont get lazy to write songs hahaha
e) i got my Coheed & Cambria Year of the Black Rainbow deluxe edition album, and plan to read the YOTBR book the week before the July 30 concert! watching it with Bill/Keesh <3 we're quite excited because we're huge coheed fans, so yeah :x
f) bill/keesh live in manila!!! :x
g) wrote an article for http://djtechtools.com and also gearing up for some DJ gigs by year's end. i want to travel and dj and take pictures and have coffee with people i dont know and just sit and read.
So that's it really. I'm sure something else will pop up tomorrow or something -
i don't see her as much as i'd want to though...but she's coming in a few days!

Hello anon fellow!
It is quite good as I am now in the 2nd chapter. Yep, the one after the special theory of relativity was briefly explained. So yes, it is quite engaging i think. =D -
thank you for your question =)
The Peter Principle best applies to any situation where a hierarchy, either obviously or through some clandestine employee manual jargon, applies. For those who have come across the term the first time (and are lazy to google it, i assume), the Peter Principle states that an individual/employee tends to rise to his or her level of incompetence in a hierarchy. Basically, it just means that you get promoted and stuff until you get to a point where you are incapable of handling the work assigned to you, but you do it anyway.
From a band/artist perspective, you "could" say that the Peter Principle applies once your skills as a particular musician/artist has plateaued. I would italicize "could" if it were possible, but since formspring doesn't have proper font formatting I am simply enclosing them in quotation marks because while the Peter Principle implies that you have reached your point of incompetence, there is such a thing as the notion of Practice.
Unlike office employees who rise through the ranks to reach a point wherein, seemingly, a glass ceiling exists, musicians on the other hand have the advantage of setting aside a couple of hours everyday to hone certain skills and get over particular pitfalls (say that 16th note double pedal run at 180bpm that you couldn't do last week). The Peter Principle implies a higher authority exists that undermines your capacity to go beyond what you/they believe to be your current potential (i.e. the "hierarchy" being mentioned), while a musician/artist has only to overcome his/her current physical capabilities through rigorous practice and a deepening of his/her knowledge in his/her domain.
That's what I think, at least =) go out now and read Talent is Overrated by Geoff Colvin -
i didn't ask for much, but i made a short list. i got most items on the list, but i didn't get one very important, very specific one. =/

Hello, and thank you for your question =)
Coming from a surety and risk-management background after working for three years in a casualty insurance firm, I do believe that a risk is considered "worth it" only if it is a carefully calculated risk.
Risk mitigation is at the heart of non-life/casualty insurance. The company does all that it can to try to minimize the chances of a negative outcome by conducting multiple analyses and studies that more or less allow the company to determine the probability of a loss.
Taking a risk, contrary to popular belief, isn't the same as gambling. Risk taking is all about knowing everything you can about that particular risk in order to arrive at a decision whether to proceed or not. Gambling, on the other hand, is basically just putting all your eggs in one basket so to speak and wishing for a favorable outcome.
Risk taking is smart. But of course, gambling is more exciting. And probably a bit sexier too. Yes.
I know I didn't answer your question, btw =) -
hello, your employees =)

An interesting question!
As history would have it, the root of the centuries-long War might have been the fact that at the takeover of fortress Danzig from the Markgrafschaft Brandenburg by the Teutonic Knights under the Polish Kingdom, several disputes ensued during the siege. As problems and tensions (and a handful of annoyances, i would assume) reared their ugly heads, Poland refused to pay the Teutonic Knights despite the victorious outcome. Yes.
And there you have it =) -
hey anon person! sure, but only if the coffee's cold, the paper's late and there's no hope for making up the lack of sleep. (sorry i'm assuming this is an acid house kings reference, yes? haha) =D
