When I was 1, I was chosen to be in a Hong Kong movie. Everything was going well until some white guy held me. Back in the day I had only seen people with dark brown eyes, so when this blue-eyed creature held me, I thought he was an alien and I started to cry. :(

Plexiglass. You know how much that stuff sells for?! I'm trying to get some to build frames for my puzzles and man...it's expensive!

I have so many! My first day of kindergarten, I missed the bus so my mom rode my brother's bike and took me to school. I remember how hard it was for her because the bike was so small but I'll always remember the effort she put in to get me to school. That same day, I met my best friend! My kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Mardus, assigned Andrea to show me around the classroom because I started on the 2nd day of classes instead of the 1st. I...honestly don't know how Andrea and I communicated because I didn't know English back then, but somehow we made it through and became the best of friends even to this day 20 years later. :)

Several times! Only when I fall out of love do I realize that I was never really in love in the first place. :) I haven't fallen out of love with any of the cats I love though! :)

Will I achieve my dreams and goals and be successful? Yes, I will be just as successful as I have imagined. No matter what my definition of success is in the future.

I'm going through a phase right now. I'm not sure what I want to do with the rest of my life. When I was young, about 6 or 7 years old, I had my entire life planned out. I would go to university, be a doctor, get married, have kids, and retire. When I turned 20, I had an epiphany and fell in love with Human Resources Management. That's when I had my next 5-10 years planned out: I would graduate, land my first HR job, get my CHRP, work for 2-3 years, go back to Waterloo for a MASc in I/O Psychology, get back into HR, work my way into Google, get married, have children...etc. Now, I can barely plan a couple months ahead. I've fallen in love with event planning, travelling, and startups. I'm still working towards my CHRP and I'm still going back to Waterloo in 2 years or so, but I have no idea what I'm going to do after that. What kind of organization I'd work for one day. Yes I like to be spontaneous, but I like to be in control of things as well. The only thing I am certain of right now is that I still love HR and that my best friend and sisters will always support me.

If I were in an algebra formula, I would be so lost and confused; I wouldn't even know who to ask for directions. That's why I'm glad I'd never find myself in an algebra formula. :)

Whatever people want to hear I guess. :) Maybe Circle of Life...haha. I just wouldn't want people to be sad at my funeral.

      1) Wish that everyone I love is safe and healthy
      2) Wish that I will always have the choice and willpower to walk away from my job due to whatever reason (want more family time, unethical job, etc and not have to worry about finances that might prevent me from leaving)
      3) To be able to follow my dreams without losing myself in the process

I'd have to be with someone who could keep my attention. :) I get bored quickly and am easily distracted...so I usually turn to a computer or my Blackberry when my mind wanders. :)

I'll be working at Home Depot until January 2011. I won't want another job until probably April because I want to attend the HRPA Annual conference at the end of January and then travel until end of March. I'd like to spend my birthday outside of Canada again. :) Then I'll look for another HR job, work for the next 2 years, go back to Waterloo for a Masters of Applied Science in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. After that, I'll find an even better HR job, work my way up to an executive position, get married, have children, etc. :) Add a year of travel somewhere in between before the children. :)

A lot of people do a lot of nice things for me. I have wonderful people in my life. The most recent would be when my brother won a 2-day trip for 2 to Blue Mountain and he gave me the tickets instead of going himself. He has to be there to claim them, so he was going to drop me and a friend off at Blue Mountain on a Friday, and then pick us up Saturday in the afternoon. He said it was for my birthday. :) I invited him to go with me, so we're heading out there this weekend!

Glad this came up. Most people think I'm an extrovert because I meet a lot of people while organizing conferences and events. What most don't know about me is that I'm an introvert. I'm shy and don't really know how to talk to people. The Joanna you see at conferences and events is a stranger to me; the only reason why she exists is because it's what the business world wants. That's why I play along. :)

Upcoming events: Arts Gala 2010, YSEC's re:Vision 2010, Ei3 Event, Canada 3.0 2010, Ignite Waterloo 3...I can only see my life up until beginning of July. Anything after that is pretty fuzzy.
