Yes & Yes. 1. Sometimes there are overt likenesses with weak parody, and we can't print those without being bootleggers. 2. Sometimes the people love stuff I wouldn't, and those typically do really well.

For art, I like Aaron Horkey, william bouguereau, Alphonse Mucha and a variety of other artists. I like elegant art that exhibits skill and grace.
Tshirt art is just my bread and butter. I'm not sure if there's anything in that market that I am excited alot about. I like clever ideas and simple designs. Glennz has always been impressive. Fatheed is also great. -
i drove for about 31 hours straight. i saw mountains appear before my eyes. that was induced by fatigue and lack of sleep, otherwise, ive not see anything supernatural.

A/S/L! -
Im still on it. You know, it's been more about seeing my old friends, and it's been the best experience ever.
Yesterday I visited the ranch. The mother of my friend came out looking confused not knowing that it was me. It took a few seconds for her to recognize me, and then it was like OMG! big hug. That was awesome. It had been 3 years or so. I've never felt so appreciated/loved. -
tshirt designs are cool and my bread and butter, but i really love the art i made when i first graduated college. they were all the labor of love, and from a place that wanted to make people feel good. they were all portraits of people. some were internet artists, some total strangers, some IRL acquaintances. i just made them because i wanted to make people feel special. they were not commissions.
my favorite piece i made is http://jimiyo.com/2006/kate3.jpg
because the photo that i referenced, although it might have been just my imagining, seemed to pine for viewers to see inside behind the eyes into the soul. maybe i was projecting my own loneliness and struggles that i was experiencing at the time. so i took her photo and recreated it in a way that somehow i feel made her magical, beautiful, and strong.
its odd. i really dont know her that well. its an odd experience to stare at someone's photo, study every curve, skin fold, and bone structure, which is required to replicate the likeness. staring into the eyes seems to create some a high degree of familiarity, unfortunately, it is only one sided of course.
maybe it's melodramatic or a broody weird artist thing to say, but in my unhealthy introversion, back then, i found a way to connect with people in my mind, through recreation in portraiture, although often times, i had a feeling that the portraits were just a reflection of myself since i never knew the subjects well. imagining people as you wish them to be is much easier than accepting all their human faults or risking unpleasant interactions in reality. but i quickly found that when i projected too much on someone's identity, especially by just a photo, or by internet profiles, we skew who they really are, and when the illusion is shattered as it always will be since everyone's human, it hurts my ability to accept them for their true identity.
i dont romanticize people anymore although sometimes it is hard to me to see people from the net from a photo and think, oh i bet that person is awesome. it was when myspace and social networking was just getting popular, so i think alot of people experienced similar things since it was the dawn of a voyeuristic new world. also, i used to be drunk alot back then which skewed reality even more.
btw, you can view more portraits here. just scroll down. anything prior to 2005. http://jimiyo.com/bottom2.htm
